My English may not be funky enough... so please ignore grammatical mistakes.
Here's the case.
Recently a high ranker of Osu (let's call him ABC) wrote something that should be considered inappropriate to be shown in the public.
To be specific, the player wrote (in Chinese): don't bother me. Don't make me delete the game. If you have any further questions, look at my icon. (the icon was a Chinese character said xxxx off)
And the userpage was posted by some other Chinese player on local Chinese forum in this thread (http://tieba.baidu.com/p/1413928634 . The post has been deleted for a couple of days). The function of this specific thread is to post news (cookiezi is banned, adamqs had another hdhr on xxx map, earned him xxx pp), and ABC's userpage was posted there, with title "ABC is going to AFK"
Well it may be my fault to consider the person who he was talking about was me. It may also be his fault of not writing who he is writing it to. Nevertheless ABC's userpage really infuriated me, since I always believed a person should be responsible for what he says, especially a high ranker, who attract more interest from the public. I wrote a comment to show my complaint, and he started swearing at me in a new thread, with really disgusting words (which is also deleted). What makes me confused is that most people who took a look at the thread thought is was my fault to question the right that a player can write anything he wants on userpage. I'm not sure if this is the result of the influence of that high ranker among the players that they chose to speak for him but not for me.
Can I criticize a person if he writes on his userpage "screw you funkyenough" or "screw every Osu! player"?
Should userpage be a public area or a private one?
I am really confused.
Thanks for your watching.
