S-Ranker. It's THAT easy.

Rank around #60,000 and has the S-Ranker Achievement already? On the day he signed up also? Is this even plausible?
I know this achievement is really easy to get if you think about it and the picture. But a very low ranked player getting that on the same day of when he signed up?

I later found out that he was my friend and had no experience of any rhythm games.

Is this plausible or not? A person that is rhythmically challenged that can get S-Ranker on the same day of the day he signed up? It scares me a lot. I find this plausible and not plausible.

Any ideas on how this is SO easy to get?
Note: No hints on how to get this are placed in here.

I don't see what you're asking for other than "discussion on getting this achievement". You didn't spoil anything, but what else is there to discuss? He got it on the day he signed up. So it seems pretty plausible to get it, doesn't it?

The only way this is impossible is if he got the achievement before he signed up.

Those are two different matters. One can play rhythm games for a long time and still can't play well, and the best pianists don't have to play rhythm games.

I got S's on easy maps soon after I joined osu!. I didn't have much of a rhythm at the time. It's not that hard, really, if you play easy enough maps.

EDIT: Though he's mostly doing it in one try. That's pretty dang good.

i also got some S ranks in normal maps in the day i joined. maybe because i played eba, oto1 &2 for 3 years non-stop and imma big fan of rhythm games?

but this player... SS rank? 1st try? wow

You see, that guy, like several others, probably installed a custom skin given out as a promotion from the well-known office supply store chain, Staples. It's got this thing called the Easy Button. You hit it, and FWOOMP, easy maps all around you. You simply play through a bunch of those, grind out some full-combo (or maybe 1-miss if you're feeling brave) runs with decent enough accuracy and you're well on your way to getting S on a great number of songs.

S-Ranker. That was easy.

That's true, i don't have much SS ranks but i play mostly 4~5 maps (which will be around 8~10 stars i assume).

So i guess with easy maps this whole story is plausible.
