Basically, what I'm thinking of is that you have the general ranking (as is now), and then you have a separate/sub-ranking for different mods (as well as different keys for mania).
How I'm looking at it is like this:
Basically, you would have a different rank in each area based on what mods/keys you play, this would be simple to implement as you would just take each song and put that pp into it's correct category. None of this would affect the overall ranking system, it would only show ranks in each category area.
If this was implemented my overall rank would be 11,650, but then my hidden rank might be 80,920 and then my hard rock rank something around 500,000. Any while one person might be rank 1700 overall in mania, their 7k rank might be 2000 and their 4k 200,000.
