I think the hardest thing on osu! is consistency. Anyone can fc a short 1:30 tv size map with enough retries (myself included) the majority of PP people gain is from DT these short maps, again including myself. Because its easier than trying to fc a long 10min map like Crimson Belvedere. I think considering the length of the songs more in PP than currently would mean people would be more encouraged to at-least try to FC these maps. Sure you can say that the long maps are easy for their 'star rating' but the ratio of people to fc the map and not choke is much lower than on a tv size map of the same star rating. We all know that choking on osu! sucks, but I think that managing to fc such a long map should be rewarded with more than 140pp (for 98%acc) Heck I can do DT a random ar8 of the same star rating and get 160pp so why would I bother? I think that bieng consistent on osu is a major skill, and fc these long maps shows how solid a player you are, at the moment I dont think that enough PP is awarded for this.
