Thanks so much for the mod! :)
Fixed all of it. Bumped the HP of the Kantan and Futsuu up to 3 and removed nearly all of the 1/6th notes in Inner Oni! Made Kantan a little easier too.
In the regular Oni, I thought 00:47:446 (10,11,12,13,14,15) fit better as kdk kdk but I changed it either way :o

180.006 is really really weird. The song is in perfect bpm.
Inner Oni's uninherited timing point is different from the rest, according to AiMod
Remove ensou from tags as it's in the artist field already and add Megpoid to tags

00:23:447 - add a note to make 00:23:280 (22) fit and not stick out like the rest above
00:43:113 (22) - shift to 00:42:780 - the beat at 00:42:780 is more crucial so if you want a gap, 00:43:113should be empty instead
01:06:279 (28) - same issue. You need the beat at 01:06:112 - it is more important than the drum BG music which you are currently mapping to. It sticks out from the rest of the rhythm

00:40:113 - you shouldn't leave important parts like this portion empty, it leaves a very obvious gap that should not be there

The issue with the gaps is that it makes it very start-stop and not fluid in rhythm. Parts with big beats in the music are left empty, and leaving players wondering what has happened, that reduces the flow in the map

Thank you so much for this mod! :D After working through this list I think I've gained a lot of knowledge from it and I think I'll map a bit better from now on thanks to it, so again, thanks for the mod! I think the mistake I made with the lower difficulties was building them from the ground up independent from each other when I should have looked at the higher difficulties to see what I used and where. That and I guess I just can't map low difficulties very well at all :? :P

You can see at the amount of notes that the Muzukashii has too many notes compared to Futsuu (which hardly has more notes than Kantan - do not do anything about this though since the Futsuu contains too many notes without spread), while the Oni contains too many notes compared to the Muzukashii making the Inner Oni obsolete since the Oni is already overmapped too much (and the Inner even more)

[Kantan]

00:18:448 (20) - Remove this note, it seems rather unnecessary (especially since the big note is coming up)
00:23:448 (30) - Either remove this note or make it a small kat due to the note having not that much importance to the song - deleting this also creates a 4/1 break which would be pretty nice here
00:26:781 - Leaving this blank seems kinda unexpected to me, which could throw off kantan players too.
With the same reasoning you should also move 00:29:114 (9) - this 00:28:448 - here
00:33:614 (20) - And this note 00:33:781 - here with a color change to don
00:34:781 (1) - Shouldn't this be a big note
00:41:114 (15) - Going further with what neonat suggested in his mod, move this note 00:41:448 - here to map the main beat and shortening the 1/1 pattern a little bit
00:42:448 (18,20) - I would also recommend to delete one of these notes to give some free space around the big note and also to avoid having a too long pattern
00:55:114 (10,11) - don't get why there is a rhythm change here
01:04:448 (17) - That big note makes no sense
01:07:448 (2,4) - Delete one (or both) of these notes to create a 4/1 break which slowly becomes necessary again since the map is kinda non-stop 2/1
01:16:114 (20) - Delete this note, more emphasis on the big notes
01:49:114 (42,43,44) - This is not recommended to do in a Kantan
From 02:00:114 - to 02:10:781 - Reduce the note density a little bit here so the map becomes a bit more calmer here compared to the rest

The Kantan is pretty okay for me, not sure about your usage of 3/2 notes but it doesn't look too bad. A few more mods should also get rid of the remaining problems that might still be there with the rhythm

[Futsuu]

00:02:781 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Delete one note around the middle of both 1/1 "streams" since this is too much for a Futsuu, this part of the song and an intro
00:10:614 (8,9) - You shouldn't use a Kd doublet in Futsuu. It won't hurt to remove the finisher
00:14:114 (2,3) - ^ (kK is not recommended neither)
00:16:114 (7) - Don't get why this is not a big note
00:19:114 (14) - Move this note 00:18:781 - here since the 1/2 doublet does not fit at all and is weird to play
00:23:281 (23,24) - Dk is not recommended neither
00:34:781 (1) - Shouldn't this be a big note
00:41:114 (16) - Delete, same reason as first suggestion
00:50:781 (15) - Delete for same reason as above

[Muzukashii]

Won't go into too much detail, instead I will give you some guidelines and look what you make out of it.

00:09:114 (4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17) - Mainly patterns like these are troublesome. It's 14 notes in 1/2 going on (the 3/4 note doesn't really count as break and is seen as 1/2 for this mod) which is a lot compared to the Futsuu which, like a normal Futsuu does, only has 1/2 triplets and a few 5-plets. You have to reduce the length of these patterns a bit by making one or two breaks in them.
00:19:781 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - Same again with this pattern, which is a little bit shorter but has a 1/4 triplet. A first step to fixing this is just deleting 00:19:948 (6) - this note.
00:46:281 (4) - This is too overmapped
00:50:114 (17,18,19) - Having a triplet is not necessary
01:02:781 (19) - This big note is unnecessary too
01:03:448 (21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31) -

With the kiai start the map kinda goes nuts. You should not follow the drums nearly 100% in this diff, it's too much. Reduce the amount of 1/4 you have - especially in mixed 1/2+1/4 patterns. Do not use ddk/kkd in these, too. Reconsider your overall 1/2 usage, even the simple 1/2 triplets and 5-plets which appear a lot 01:38:781 - to 02:00:114 -

[Oni]

In respect to the Muzukashii, a lot of the long 1/2 patterns have to be cut somewhere like 00:39:281 (6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,1,2) - and 00:45:448 - to 00:56:114 -

This diff contains a lot of notes that are not needed at all - you have your Inner Oni (which is too overmapped in my eyes) to screw around, this Oni needs to fit the spread better which it doesn't atm because it contains highly complicated patterns like 01:48:781 (28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36) - and very long 1/2+1/4 like the one from 45-56 seconds.

Won't go into too much detail, instead I will give you some guidelines and look what you make out of it.

00:09:114 (4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17) - Mainly patterns like these are troublesome. It's 14 notes in 1/2 going on (the 3/4 note doesn't really count as break and is seen as 1/2 for this mod) which is a lot compared to the Futsuu which, like a normal Futsuu does, only has 1/2 triplets and a few 5-plets. You have to reduce the length of these patterns a bit by making one or two breaks in them. Added breaks as-suggested. I'll go through the map and fix any more that I find!
00:19:781 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - Same again with this pattern, which is a little bit shorter but has a 1/4 triplet. A first step to fixing this is just deleting 00:19:948 (6) - this note. Fixed as above!
00:46:281 (4) - This is too overmapped Removed the center note!
00:50:114 (17,18,19) - Having a triplet is not necessary Toned it down to 1/2 notes
01:02:781 (19) - This big note is unnecessary tooFixed
01:03:448 (21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31) -
Removed some notes to clean it up a bit
With the kiai start the map kinda goes nuts. You should not follow the drums nearly 100% in this diff, it's too much. Reduce the amount of 1/4 you have - especially in mixed 1/2+1/4 patterns. Do not use ddk/kkd in these, too. Reconsider your overall 1/2 usage, even the simple 1/2 triplets and 5-plets which appear a lot 01:38:781 - to 02:00:114 - I went through the map again and fixed things with these comments in mind, I hope it's at least a little better now!

[Oni]

In respect to the Muzukashii, a lot of the long 1/2 patterns have to be cut somewhere like 00:39:281 (6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,1,2) - and 00:45:448 - to 00:56:114 - I can't for the life of me shave any notes out of that without it sounding horribly off to me, so I'll come back to it later and hopefully I can do something about it

This diff contains a lot of notes that are not needed at all - you have your Inner Oni (which is too overmapped in my eyes) to screw around, this Oni needs to fit the spread better which it doesn't atm because it contains highly complicated patterns like 01:48:781 (28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36) - and very long 1/2+1/4 like the one from 45-56 seconds. Again, shaving notes out of the Oni is pretty hard for me to do here as when I do, the parts sound really off. I guess I was really set on the Oni because it sounds fine to me. Hopefully I can come back to it and fix it up as suggested without it sounding odd!

Thank you so much for the mod! :) I've learned a lot about how the ranking process goes and just generally how to map properly from this mod, I think in future I might look back at this to keep myself in check when/if I try mapping again! Hopefully I can come back to the Oni/Inner Oni to fix them a little, I think I was thrown off a little when you said they were overmapped and right now I can't fix them without adding more problems than I make. :cry: Thanks again though! :D

Took a while to run through that, but I'm glad I did! :D I've learned something new after most of these mods and this time I think I (finally) learned how much I overused big dons and kats. If I could go through this entire mapset again, I think I'd change a lot of things based on what I've learned from these mods, but I think it's best I leave it as is and hopefully a few more can polish it up for ranking! I don't think I could change around notes without making the chorus be really awkward to play. I can't really see anywhere where a 4/1 break would be viable in this kantan either, but I'm open for debate on the matter!

And I'm done. In case you agree with most of my mod, consider doing some self modding to see if you can improve your style on the map since as I told you, I had issues with it and couldn't do a real in depth mode because I'm scared of being too much nazi and changing your map too much.

  1. The spread is big with Muzu and really small with Inner, consider adding more breaks and maybe making some 1/4 patterns a bit easier to have a better spread between the 3 diffs. It's not even really easier than the Inner imo. The thing is, I think that removing lots of notes from the Oni and making it too much easier would make the two higher diffs on the map not really contrast well. The Oni was mapped to follow the song as best as I could and the Inner was made to add on to the oni and make it a harder to play. I'm not personally going to nerf the Oni, but if some more mods point out things that could be removed/changed to make it easier (and it fits the map well) I will gladly consider them!
  2. Again, the intro could follow the drums better. I'll just say that 00:16:614 (21) - really should be a d but consider changing more k into d than this one. Changed this to a d!
  3. 00:40:114 - Add a d? A break here doesn't fit at all imo. Added a d!
  4. 00:49:447 (17,18) - You're following the vocals' rhythm for this whole part except here. Also I don't think (18) follow anything correctly. Remove both and put a d at 00:49:614 - to match vocals? I don't know what I was thinking with this section haha. Changed!
  5. A break here 01:19:947 - or here 01:21:447 - would fit, but a break at 01:20:114 - doesn't fit at all. Yeah, back when I was asked to add breaks to the chorus (It was one massive thing of 1/2 and 1/4 notes) I didn't know very much at all about mapping. I've come a long way! Fixed!

And I'm done. In case you agree with most of my mod, consider doing some self modding to see if you can improve your style on the map since as I told you, I had issues with it and couldn't do a real in depth mode because I'm scared of being too much nazi and changing your map too much.
