21:55 Priti: guuuurl plea
21:56 Low: hi
21:56 Priti: up for irc moddu on critical crystalu?
21:56 Priti: since set is done
21:56 Low: you want me.. to mod yours?
21:56 Priti: no
21:56 Priti: me mod yours
21:56 Priti: mine is still WIP
21:56 Priti: and I'm bored
21:57 Low: i am waiting for an insane diff from wring
21:57 Low: go ahead and mod it if you want
21:58 Priti: oh
21:58 Priti: well
21:58 *Priti is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/482162 Seiryu - Critical Crystal [Basic]]
21:58 Priti: get in editoor
21:59 Priti: The whole Basic diff has one massive issue: Slidertick and Sliderslide volume is extremely annoying, it just makes the map painful to listen to, You could possibly use soft over the whole map so it becomes more pleasant for the player. Also, TR1 would fit the way this is mapped better.
22:00 Low: tr2 fills in the beats
22:00 Priti: hmph
22:01 Priti: maybe do some tick volume changes then?
22:01 Priti: to fix all that annoying rumble
22:01 Priti: and use soft sliderslide
22:01 Low: i will switch to soft for easy and normal diff
22:01 Low: basic and easy *
22:01 Priti: 00:10:572 (3) - Maybe move this to x:236 y:178?
22:01 Priti: It makes a perfect triangle for the whole white combo
22:01 Priti: which looks neat
22:01 Priti: ofc, fix spacings after it.
22:02 Low: why are you using grid 4 lol
22:02 Priti: 00:20:624 (1) - The lack of impact for this important beat annoys me, Maybe do something like this? https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1948042
22:02 Priti: Grid 4 best grid
22:02 Priti: and actually I didn't use it
22:02 Priti: I copy pasted the first two circles
22:02 Priti: rotated by 120
22:02 Priti: stacked
22:02 Priti: and it landed there
22:02 Priti: which means that it's where it needs to be for a perfect triangle
22:02 Low: i will keep the first suggestion as it is
22:04 Priti: 00:48:268 (1) - Combo really isn't needed
22:04 Low: it's actually kind of softer there
22:04 Low: i don't want impact for the second one
22:04 Priti: makes it harder to see the pattern if that's the case
22:04 Priti: like, with the combo
22:04 Low: it is need
22:04 Priti: 01:00:834 (3,1) - Uhm, is this supposed to be a blanket?
22:04 Low: ed
22:04 Low: i follow NC every 4 measures
22:05 Priti: k
22:05 Low: i shifted that one to the left
22:05 Low: to make it "blanket" better
22:05 *Priti is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/473730 Seiryu - Critical Crystal [Easy]]
22:06 Low: let me finish editing the hitsounds from normal to soft
22:06 Priti: 00:00:520 (1,2) - It would make more sense with the song if the rhythm was mapped this way http://puu.sh/b0JKx.png
22:06 Priti: oh ok
22:15 Low: ok done
22:16 Priti: 1 sec
22:16 Priti: did u look at the first suggestion
22:17 Low: yes
22:17 Priti: and
22:17 Priti: 00:06:802 (2,1) - pls make these the same angle u nub
22:18 Low: i did first suggestion
22:19 Low: and second
22:19 Priti: 00:20:624 (1,2,1) - this 0.08 spacing difference is actually noticeable, plsfixerino
22:19 Priti: 0.06*
22:19 Low: no.
22:20 Priti: 01:49:839 (1,2) - ew
22:21 Low: what?
22:21 Priti: bad blanket
22:21 Low: ok fixed
22:23 Priti: 01:12:143 (1,2) - fixerino los anglerino
22:23 Priti: 01:19:682 (1,2) - again
22:23 Priti: 01:39:472 (3,1) - random spacing change?
22:24 Low: there are no spacing changes there
22:24 Low: stop nazi-ing my map
22:24 Priti: there are.
22:25 Priti: it's extremely visible
22:25 Low: i'm using distance spacing and they're the same
22:25 Priti: 01:38:530 (1,2) - 1.2
22:25 Low: there are no spacing changes.....
22:25 Priti: 01:39:158 (2,3) - 1.3
22:25 Priti: 01:39:472 (3,1) - 1.4
22:25 Priti: There are.
22:26 Low: ok denied
22:26 Low: next plz
22:26 Priti: LOL
22:29 Priti: meh
22:30 Priti: Hard+ are just like

22:31 Priti: But seriously
22:31 Priti: this stream's curves suck.
22:32 Priti: 01:16:855 (5) - missing finish
22:32 Low: i didn't make them suck on purpose
22:32 Priti: 01:19:682 - The way the red color merges in the kiai time
22:32 Priti: is just bad
22:32 Priti: it's super odd and doesn't fit
22:32 Priti: it looks bad
22:32 Priti: (considering the rest of the combo colors are kinda bad too)
22:33 Low: i haven't even replied to the first suggestion, please wait
22:33 Priti: use Convert Slider to Stream tool
22:33 Priti: for curvy streams
22:33 Priti: it works so well
22:34 Low: ok fixed stream
22:34 Low: a finish doesnt fit there to me
22:34 Low: not like you can really hear it anyway
22:35 Low: and i'll remove the red if someone else complains about it, i like it
22:35 Priti: 01:29:420 (3) - whistle?

hello, from your request

tons of diffs to mod plus mania, lets get this over with

taking a quick overview of the whole set, i've noticed you went against normal mapping conventions in some of your patterns and rhythms. nothing wrong with that, its nice to be seeing something different for a change

[General]
  1. Move it to pending since you are actively looking for mods and stuff
  2. There is no kiai time anywhere on your diffs, an exciting song like this should have it IMO
[Basic]
Can't really point out much in a diff like this
  1. 00:53:294 (1) - Shorten this slider to 00:54:551 - and add a spinner starting 00:54:865 - here and end it 00:56:436 - here to fill in the gap and keep newer players engaged? Should be enough time proceeding to and from the newly placed spinner for beginners to react to. If you aren't going to do this at least remove the green lines
  2. 01:00:834 (3,1) - Maybe make this a perfect blanket or something. Use 1's approach circle to help you out with this
  3. 01:07:116 - Remove some of the green lines here since they aren't really needed
[Easy]
  1. 00:09:944 (2,1) - Space out 1 from 2. 1's location seems a bit forced and it isn't consistent with the rest of the spacing you have laid out in the rest of the diff
  2. 00:11:828 (2) - Bring the first anchor down a bit, so players can be more aware of the parallel between this and 00:13:713 (1) -
  3. 00:38:216 (1) - This slider shape seems a bit forced and doesn't really conform to the style that persists throughout this diff. Maybe change it to a slider shape similar to 00:25:650 (1) -
  4. 00:28:163 (1,2) - Maybe move 2 a little in closer to 1. The spacing here is a bit large in comparison to patterns like 00:23:137 (1,2) -
  5. 00:29:420 (2,1) - Check the spacing here, 1 is shoved a little bit close to 2. You can maintain the parallel pattern here easily if you just move 1 over a bit, 340:326 works out fine
  6. 00:35:703 (1,2) - Check the spacing here, 2 is shoved in a bit too close to 1
  7. 00:41:357 (2,3) - I would be careful with a change in rhythm like this. Newer players would not be able to pick up this right away (even i messed up here because I was so accustomed to the current rhythm scheme). To alleviate this, I found that combining 00:40:729 (1,2) - in to one slider had enough momentum for me to be aware of the change in rhythm that was coming up.
  8. 00:40:729 (1,2) - Check the spacing between these two objects. Usually you would have 1.2x ds, but here its a little noticeable that the spacing isn't consistent
  9. 00:45:755 (1) - Remove this NC. The music doesn't really change much here and the HP drain isn't high enough to warrant a new combo
  10. 00:50:781 (1) - ^
  11. 00:55:101 (1) - I would move this spinner to 00:55:179 - to give enough time for newer players to react and respond to it
  12. 01:29:734 (1,2) - Check the spacing here, 2 is shoved a bit too close to 1
  13. 01:39:315 - Remove some of the green lines starting here, since they aren't really used for anything
  14. 01:42:300 (1) - Remove NC for the same reason as 00:45:755 (1) -
  15. 01:47:326 (1) - ^
[Normal]
Lovely normal diff
  1. 00:20:624 (1,2,3) - Make sure the spacing is even between these objects. There looks like there is a jump from 2 to 3 which could throw off a player
  2. 00:30:048 (2,1) - I would curve 2 a bit more, so the added swing will have it flow more smoothly in to 1 and the following pattern. Be sure to maintain a perfect blanket while doing so to keep it neat
  3. 00:44:184 (2) - I would start this slider and the sliders like this on 00:44:341 - (the red tick following) since this is the most prominent noise. This will make it easier for players to pick up the rhythm and respond to it
  4. 01:40:729 (2) - ^ same for this section
[Hard]
  1. 00:04:289 (1) - The curve at the end of this slider is a bit too harsh. I suggest you smoothen out or bring the slider end further away from the slider body to make the play a bit nicer similar to 00:09:315 (1) -
  2. 00:33:190 (1,2,3) - I would space this anti-jump pattern out. From the previous section you gain a lot of momentum going forward. You kill this added speed with these circles, and since coming off of that players will be too hyped out to notice the slow down in play. Spacing it out would provide for smoother play and transition easier in to the next part
  3. 01:02:090 (1) - Bring the first anchor out to make the beginning of the slider path more visible to the player. This will make it less cramped in play
  4. 01:28:792 (2) - There is a lot of nice sounds to map out here in the music! Maybe replace this slider and try this rhythm out. Should bring a nice end and climax to this exciting section to the song
[yongtw's Hyper]
  1. 00:08:294 - add a circle here to match the rhythm and maintain consistency with 00:09:315 (1,2,3) -
  2. 00:34:760 - add a circle here. I thought 00:34:917 (6) - was the sound at this point and had a hard time reading it. This should make it easier to transition to that quicker pattern that followed
  3. 00:37:273 - ^
  4. 01:07:116 (1) - I really love the section starting here. All the streams played well and the hitsounds sounded great! Nice job here, I am impressed
  5. 01:08:373 (1,2,3,4) - Maybe opt for a 1/2 anti-jump pattern here? The slider ends makes it a bit loud and doesn't have a nice effect with the music
Alright time for mania diffs. I am not going to mod Another or Extra since I cannot pass them.

[NM]
Nice! Played really well for the most part
  1. 00:11:200 (11200|2,11200|1) - I suggest spreading these two out. The flow from the last pattern going forward will provide for smoother play. It will also be easier on the newer players, since having to press the two buttons dead in the center is a bit harder than the outside two coming forward
  2. 00:18:111 (18111|1,18111|2) - ^
  3. 00:33:190 (33190|2,33190|1) - ^
  4. 00:34:760 (34760|0,34917|0) - Having quick bursts in succession in the same column is very tiring and harder to play. I suggest you move 00:34:917 (34917|0) - over 1 so that it flows better in to the next pattern. It also fits nicely with the music and plays a bit better and doesn't tire the player as much
  5. 00:37:273 (37273|3,37430|3) - ^
  6. 00:37:273 (37273|3,37430|3,71671|1,71828|2,71985|2,72143|3) - I think this would flow way better if you tried something like this
Fits well with the music too
  7. 01:17:169 (77169|1,77169|2) - I would spread these two out for the same reason as before. Also having 01:17:169 (77169|2,77326|2) - in the same column makes it harder for players to hit the latter
[LeiN-'s HD]
Nothing really to say here. Plays and flows really well! I loved it

[LeIN-'s MX]
Couldn't pass it so I cannot give a solid opinion on it. It played really well for the most part!

Good luck with ranking this, lets see how other modders and BATs will react to it

If you aren't going to do this at least remove the green lines no. i purposely left the spinner out due to the fact that no matter how i place it, it will either be too short or won't allow the player enough time to recover for the slider directly after it. also, i won't remove the green lines since it isn't noticeable while playing.
  2. 01:00:834 (3,1) - Maybe make this a perfect blanket or something. Use 1's approach circle to help you out with this

  5. 00:29:420 (2,1) - Check the spacing here, 1 is shoved a little bit close to 2. You can maintain the parallel pattern here easily if you just move 1 over a bit, 340:326 works out fine

  2. 00:33:190 (1,2,3) - I would space this anti-jump pattern out. From the previous section you gain a lot of momentum going forward. You kill this added speed with these circles, and since coming off of that players will be too hyped out to notice the slow down in play. Spacing it out would provide for smoother play and transition easier in to the next part i made the change in pace/spacing drastic because the change in the music was drastic as well. i think this should be pretty easy to read too
  3. 01:02:090 (1) - Bring the first anchor out to make the beginning of the slider path more visible to the player. This will make it less cramped in play
  4. 01:28:792 (2) - There is a lot of nice sounds to map out here in the music! Maybe replace this slider and try this rhythm out. Should bring a nice end and climax to this exciting section to the song i did something else.
[NM]
  2. 00:18:111 (18111|1,18111|2) - ^ no for this one. i want to keep them on the inner two keys to match 00:18:425 (18425|2,18739|1,19054|2) -
  3. 00:33:190 (33190|2,33190|1) - ^ no. it matches the following pattern i use
  4. 00:34:760 (34760|0,34917|0) - Having quick bursts in succession in the same column is very tiring and harder to play. I suggest you move 00:34:917 (34917|0) - over 1 so that it flows better in to the next pattern. It also fits nicely with the music and plays a bit better and doesn't tire the player as much
  5. 00:37:273 (37273|3,37430|3) - ^
  6. 00:37:273 (37273|3,37430|3,71671|1,71828|2,71985|2,72143|3) - I think this would flow way better if you tried something like this i prefer what i've done better.
Fits well with the music too
  7. 01:17:169 (77169|1,77169|2) - I would spread these two out for the same reason as before. Also having 01:17:169 (77169|2,77326|2) - in the same column makes it harder for players to hit the latter this is the same exact pattern i used in the beginning of the song, so i'm going to keep it for consistency.
thanks for modding

  1. 00:08:294 - add a circle here to match the rhythm and maintain consistency with 00:09:315 (1,2,3) - maybe not, two reasons 1) the sliders form a jump here 2) this particular portion of the music occurs only once throughout the song so I guess a simple 'difficulty progression' is okay lol
  2. 00:34:760 - add a circle here. I thought 00:34:917 (6) - was the sound at this point and had a hard time reading it. This should make it easier to transition to that quicker pattern that followed I nudged the first short slider closer to (5)/(6) so it's easier to make the transition
  3. 00:37:273 - ^ dunno, I feel adding the circle actually makes it harder :/
  4. 01:07:116 (1) - I really love the section starting here. All the streams played well and the hitsounds sounded great! Nice job here, I am impressed thanks! :P
  5. 01:08:373 (1,2,3,4) - Maybe opt for a 1/2 anti-jump pattern here? The slider ends makes it a bit loud and doesn't have a nice effect with the music quite right here, fixed!
Thanks for modding!

nothing changed. all the suggestions went against the rhythms and patterns i'd been using throughout the map. thanks for modding.

Extra

  1. ar9.8's too high imo, ar9.3 at most to this bpm and composing with that small circles
  2. most of ur map's filled with big jump and spaced streams, reading patterns and rhythm shifting, nothing really wrong in rhythms, but i should say really random in composing. maybe organize more to give a cleaner mapping composing expression, it'll please players and modders more imo.
  3. and i don't care difficult problem, i'm just talking to the map's quality itself, try considering how to improve maybe
  4. 01:29:420 (3,4,1) - streams here?
i think this is a easy song to be mapped, and remember, diffcult is not the only thing u can catch up in ur diffs. to me indeed, quality is the most important thing

good luck
