Hello, my part from the M4M :p

One thing i can say about the whole mapset is that the greyed combo colors really make the maps more boring, specially since you would do something like that if the map actually had a storyboard or something, this way it feels bland.

There are lots of patterns that ''stop'', it breaks the flow of the map so much, even for this kind of song, because those stops are not at the right places most of the time, try to move around more when mapping.

From 00:37:903 - to 00:59:332 and 01:46:475 - to 02:07:903 , make these kiai times, because its still a chorus.


Normal
The whole spacing of this map is too inconsistent, many times too close (or on top of the next objects) and other times too far away. Learn to make a more stable map with proper spacing.
There are waaay too many sliders like this 00:04:332 (2) in the whole intro, really repetitive
00:35:135 - - Remove this inherited point, because from 00:35:135 - to 00:37:903 - there is a huge silence, and add a Finish to that spinner
00:56:296 (2) - Delete this slider, it starts in a really weird place for a Normal, and make 00:55:046 (1) - this slider reverse, doesnt have to fit the lyrics. all it really matters is to follow the song well, and yes, you might have to delete the inherited points you have there for the hitsounds. And most importantly, place the 00:55:046 (1) slider on x:372 y:60 with end of slider at x:188 y:68.
00:57:010 (2,3) - Place these objects closer to the previous pattern.
00:57:993 (1) - Move the start of this slider to 00:58:260 (1)
01:29:332 (5) - NC

Hard
This map also has really bad spacings, and would look more like an Insane map for the BPMs that it has, making your Insane look like an ''Extra'', that means that the difficulty spike is huge.
00:54:600 (6) - This slider is just too weird, specially with your wrong spacings. Delete it, and add 3 circles at: 00:54:510 (6) 00:54:689 (7) and 00:54:868 (8) , you know how you should place them.
00:56:296 (4) - Delete this circle and place the 00:56:475 (5) - slider there instead, and new circle at 00:57:189 on top of 00:57:368 (6,7)
01:20:403 (4,5,1,2,3) - Patterns like these makes me think this is an Insane.
02:37:457 (7,8) - Just, no. Do like in 00:54:600 (6), its too hard to follow it as a Hard difficulty map.
02:54:689 (6) - - Would be better for this slider to start at 02:54:510 to follow the song better, place it closer to the previous object, and maybe add a spinner at the end so the map doesnt end too suddenly.

Insane
01:10:760 (5,6) - Don't think so, make it end at a blue tick and not yellow one.
01:12:546 (2) - Add an object here, probably somewhere distant, and another here 01:13:082 (4), maybe on top of 01:13:439 (6).
02:07:903 (1,2) - Distance is too close.
02:11:832 (8) - Delete and reverse 02:11:475 (7)
02:22:189 (5) - Make it end at a blue tick.
02:30:760 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20) - Extremely bad stream, even the other 2 weren't this bad in spacing and jump.
02:37:814 (13) - This wont work, delete it
02:54:332 (9,10) - End in a better way, the slider ends in an uncomfortable position and doesnt follow the song as well as it should.

Overall, you need to practice more mapping to create your own original patterns that would actually work when playing, and of course, play other maps more often to know exactly how to make a proper difficulty spread as well as map better insanes that would be fun to play.

00:02:189 - Remove the whistle here, it sounds better
00:07:725 (6,7) - I know you are trying to stack these, but the distance just doesn't feel good. Putting 6 at (414, 220) looks better
00:20:046 (10,11,12) - Maintain same distance
00:25:582 (10,11,12,13) - I don't hear a reason to add jumps like this. There are no heavy beats
00:29:332 (1) - ctrl + g
00:37:189 (13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20) - I like these, but I would prefer them closer together: http://puu.sh/agr3f/28d6b4c0ba.jpg Also the combo runs too high. Cut it in half

00:57:635 (8,9,10) - Doesn't sound like a stream belongs here. Only needs a note here: 00:57:725 -
01:01:118 (1,2,3,4) - Confusing distance snap again
01:10:760 (5,6) - Wowww this distance is huge. I highly recommend lowering it

I think you should prioritize distance snap more more often, rather than trying to stack in this diff.
Your combos also run a little high
Really fun difficulty, especially for a low bpm song.

I would mod the rest of the difficulties, but I am really busy with other mods to do at the moment, and your mod was kind of short on mine =/
If I have free time, I'll come back and mod the other diffs.

Also, you should start to use more curved sliders. For example, you can try making 00:22:189 (3) look like this.

Before I move on further, I think you should emphasize piano notes like 00:03:618 (1) with your custom finish hitsound. That'd be better since the spots won't make you feel weird while playing.

Hmm, then, for 00:34:332 (3,4), try this? Or just make sure (4) doesn't touch (3)'s tail.

00:47:189 (4,5) - Consider making them not touch each other, or at least make (4) overlap (5) exactly on the middle of it. That'd be neater.

The combo pattern is also not consistent, especially after the first break. I think you already know what to do here, so I'll leave that to you.

A little thing that I want to say: 02:26:832 - Why is the combo not gray here? I thought you only use it on the choruses...? And now that I think of it, why do you only use the kiai time on the last chorus? The other choruses are also quite strong, too.

Well, I just want to say that your Normal diff can be made far better than how it is now. For the Hard and Insane diffs, since they're quite okay, I'll return to the usual per-object comments.

I would rather prefer that you just modded regularly AND teach me who to make it better because looking at things like this kind of gave a me a headache trying to solve how to make it more playable.

  7. 00:41:118 (2) - Move to (211,143) so 00:40:760 (1,2,3)'s heads will form a triangle? But it's already a triangle...
  8. 00:43:618 (1,3,4) - Try to make them not touch each other? I changed it, but it's kinda hard to because of distance snap.
  9. 00:44:332 (2) - Try this? Looks and flows better. Did something else to the area
  10. 00:53:618 (5,6,1) - The spacing and rhythm here makes this part confusing to play overall... Just saying. I tried...

  6. 01:10:760 (5) - NC to denote that this is the beginning of a different unique pattern? OK

  8. 01:37:189 (10,1) - Consider using a single slider shape for these two sliders. You know, make them have the same curve. Trust me, it'd play better. OK
  9. 02:07:903 (1,2) - While this is kinda readable, this kind of rhythm doesn't fit the song, especially that 1/16 slider. In fact, silencing it won't help; it'd be worse since it doesn't give any feedback and is just unfitting. Consider using a single slider like the first chorus. I'll also ask the BAT about this, because I saw this somewhere else, but I don't remember...
  10. 02:26:743 (1,2) - wtf? Oh, weird, how the slider move there...
Well that's it.

Your Insane is pretty good actually. I'm just kinda worried about those 1/8 jumps, though, since it's hard to differ between 3/8 and 1/4 sliders here. Also, avoid placing an object on a previous object's place too much. Try to be more dynamic!

The main problem i can see here is that the combos are very long and the HP drain is kinda high. They don't really go well together because at parts you fail if you miss a couple of notes. Suggesting the following changes:

HP = 6.5 and:

00:07:903 - NC
00:14:332 - ^
00:19:332 - ^
00:25:046 - ^
00:36:475 - ^
00:37:189 - ^
00:48:260 - ^

You get the idea, most of the combos that go up to about 12 might benefit from a NC inbetween

00:37:189 - Gap is a bit big here given the small timeframe. Close the gap a bit. You can still keep the same pattern but just make the gap a little smaller, or remove a circle on each half of the stream to widen the time gap

OTHER than that, i think this map is pretty beautiful, well done :D

01:45:671 (11,12) - I think this slider gap is a bit to big

00:07:546 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - This is probably gonna set up how the rest of this mod is gonna go so uh. . . uh, yeah. When dealing with slow music, the way to make it enjoyable isn't to overmap it. That would be bad. Bad bad. What you need to do is give it momentum without having players feeling like they're playing a much faster map. I always like to link people this map when I'm talking about that: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/97488. The map is super jumpy, yeah, but I never feel rushed to do anything. I never feel like it's overmapped and that I'm working harder than I should be. With this map, I'm working much harder than I should. Because of this statement, I won't point out jump issues unless they're either incredibly crucial, or i feel i need to point it out. But mostly, I want you to take it on your part to look at the map and evaluate how to not make it seem harder than it should be.

I think you need to use the 44b file instead of soft-slidertick2 and soft-sliderslide2, but don't forget the first suggestion above
make sure you used every hitosund file in the map, there're many duplicate files in the folder
hope you can confirm the metadata. the title "你的世界" in romanised should be "NI DE SHI JIE" but not translate into english if it has no official english title, please also check the artist besides this..

  • This difficulty has way too high of a SV and it also has a lot of inconsistencies in DS. make the ds stay at 1 DS pattern I also suggest you don't use SV changes since they only confuse newbies, if you use SV changes remember to make the DS seemingly similar distance between the notes as the previous SV.you should make the SV around 1.5 This difficulty isn't rankable as it is now >.<

    when you change this stuff then I will give it a full mod now. since changing SV is basically a remap I think there isn't a point in me modding it now >.<

  3. 00:49:338 (1) - compared with other paterns it seems too close to 2. I suggest you move it further.
  4. 00:51:481 (6,7,8,9) - and this spacing seems too huge imo. The song didn't give such a feeling here, so reduce the spacing would be better.
  5. 01:01:481 (1,2,3) - This is a relative peaceful part, so I suggest you to reduce the spacing. Now it's even bigger than those in kiai and it feels a bit unexpected.

  2. 00:46:302 (8) - Unnecessary big jump imo. I strongly recommend you to stack it to 00:46:481 (1) - ‘s head to reduce the spacing.
  3. 00:46:838 (2) - ^. move it to x268 y196 could make it play better and create a nice blanket.
  4. 01:10:766 (1,2) - Since you muted slider ends, this 1/4 jump seems making not much sense. I suggest you shorten them, let them end at blue lines.
  5. 01:20:409 (7) - This jump is acceptable, but it still feels a bit too far. Maybe you can move it to x156 y116 and make 01:20:231 (6,7,1) - a triangle?

Will probably work on difficulty on hard over the summer to equal out the difficulty gap between diffuculties.
