there has been multiple tournaments of osu! like the OWC but it would be great if regular players like me to try and get in on some of that action as well like most games that are based on the community like so. I think of it as a great way to practice osu! and focus on the main reason of why you entered the competitive scene of osu! but that is just a "if it happens" sort of thing. Although it might get hate, it would most likely be enjoyed by all (as i think in my head) so please consider my request and hopefully submit it :)

there was an amateur league tournament being considered in G&R but it flopped for two reasons
1. 'amateur' is too hard to define as the skill level gap between players at the lower 10k/100k's is very significant.
2. alternate accounts wont be identifiable and would most definitely ruin the sport of the event.

until you get to the level of competition just use the ranking system instead

oh really? that actually is interesting especially since i've seen many alternates now that i think about it.

Is ESL still going on? You might try it.

#edit: yeah, it is http://www.esl.eu/eu/osu/ui/versus/rankings

+ multiaccounting results in a ban.

most osu tournaments are open to all players.

i dont see how that would prevent it from happening. many people get caught but many people get away with it too.

There is no limitation to whether a competition should be reserved for highly-skilled players or average ones, it all depends on the organizer and everybody can be one. If you think there is not enough competitions of this kind, you can try to create your own!
