So here's a list I've accumulated, and will constantly add to, on things I've noticed or wish was implemented in my 10 months of playing.
OSU! Improvement List:
Hit sound volume override
- globally overrides hit-sound volume of songs to either specific volume, or percentage as desired.
- or song specific hit-sound volume adjustment.
Collection rearrangement
-allows for the rearranging of collections, rather than them being fixed
- i.e. being able to move them around each other, instead of them, once made, being stuck in place for ever.
Smarter collections
- When removing a song from a collection, return to that collection DON'T go to another collection w/ the same song in that one
- When a song is in two collection and played, DON'T move collections from the initially selected collection
- Allow for the renaming of collections
- Allow for the removal of certain maps from a set of maps, rather than having to remove the entire set
Miscellaneous assigning to songs
- Allow a short description to be made for players on specific songs
- this will allow songs with multiple difficulties, say insanes, to be easily distinguished as either "good, bad, fun, cancer, etc." instead of having to remember if a particular map is terrible or not.
Multiplayer song information display
- Show the basic information about the currently selected song in multiplayer lobbies to eveyone
- (cs, ar, od, hp)
Smarter "Last Played"
- Have the songs descend in order of play, rather than just being randomly dumped into "today" "yesterday" etc.
- This way the last song you played will be at the top of the list, rather than somewhere w/in the "today" folder
Smarter "Difficulty" tab
- Make more specific stars, i.e. 0-.25, .26-.5, etc.
- or organize by amount of potential pp gain.
- current difficulty tab is NOT used by anyone who can play 5 stars or higher.
Automatic Multiplayer recordings
- Allow for option to make osu automatically record multiplayer games
- w/ option to make it so that if you fail it deletes/stops recording
Multiplayer Host
- Allow for the granting of song selection to users in your multi lobby, but still retain host privilages.
Again, it's a rough list and likely needs more detailed explanations on some of the suggestions, but I'll add to this list as I get more ideas.
