“What about the Commander?”
One of Akai’s squadmate peers into the distance, the shard towers over the landscape, hundreds of squadrons are scattered around it.
“He’s holding reality together. Everything right now is taking place in his mind, outside, everything’s already fallen.”
Another squadmate replies.

Click this spoiler box for the rules.A. GENERAL RULES
1. As stated above, the flag on your osu! profile must be the flag of a South East Asian country. If a player is found to be of a country outside this zone, the player will immediately will be eliminated. In the rare case this is found after the tournament's conclusion and the player is a podium finisher, we unfortunately cannot revoke their osu!supporter prizes. However, in all cases, said player is prohibited to participate in future iterations of regional tournaments hosted by VNMC administrative parties.
2. Follow osu! rules (eg. do not multi-account, spam, be offensive,...). If your account is banned mid-tournament, you will be immediately eliminated. This means that if you are banned, you are not allowed to register unless your appeal is successful and you get your account back before player registrations close.
3. Any points not mentioned here may be brought up to a Host in the Tournament Server or in DMs (osu! or Discord, although Discord is preferred). That being said, do not try to exploit loopholes.
B. IN-MATCH RULES
SCHEDULING RULES
I. Upcoming matches will be announced in the tournament Discord chat, and a referee will invite both players 15 minutes before the intended match schedule.
1. For Qualifiers:
- If a player is absent for their Qualifiers lobby, they will be asked to move to another lobby, and other players shall proceed with their procedures.
- If a player cannot make it to any lobbies, either intentionally (as a form of official resignation) or due to negligence, the player will be eliminated from the tournament.
2. For Bracket Rounds:
- If one of the players are unavailable on the intended match schedule, the referee will set a 10 minute timer until the other player arrives. When the timer ends and that player is still absent, the present player wins by default.
- If both players don't show up on the intended match schedule, the referee will also set a 10 minute timer until one player or both players arrives.
+ In case only one player has arrived and the timer ran out, the aforementioned rules apply.
+ In case the timer ran out but no player shows up, the default winner will be the player with the better Qualifiers result.
II. You are allowed to reschedule your match, provided that you and your opponent have agreed upon a certain time.
1. Post a screenshot of your DMs about the reschedule on the respective rescheduling Discord channel.
2. Reschedules are closed after 23:59 Friday. However, emergency schedules after that time are accepted if you provide satisfactory reasoning to warrant one.
III. If the referee is late for the match, and there are no replacing referees available, it will be delayed until a referee can take over. Nevertheless, this will be avoided as much as possible.
OTHER RULES
1. Pre-match warmups are only allowed in Bracket rounds. Each player is allowed to have one warmup each with a length of 3:15 (3 minutes and 15 seconds) or below. It is recommended to send your warmup map to your referee around 15 minutes prior to avoid wasting time.
* Note: You are allowed to skip your own warmup.
2. In case a player disconnects within the first 30 seconds of the map or the first 25% of the map's drain length (whichever happens first), the referee can restart the match.
eg. + if a map is 3:49 long, disconnections after 30 seconds are unaccepted.
⠀ ⠀ + if a map is 2:00 long, disconnections after 30 seconds are unaccepted.
⠀ ⠀ + if a map is 1:40 long, disconnections after 25 seconds are unaccepted.
- This rule is not to be abused. Referees may veto match restarting requests at the discretion of themselves or a staff above their position.
- If the disconnect happens after that time frame, the player who disconnected is deemed the loser of the current map, and has to take responsibility for their poor device/connection.
- If that player still hasn't reconnected 10 minutes after disconnecting, the referee will start a timer as stated in Section B, SCHEDULING RULES, I., 2.
3. Each round will have one unique mappool, with progressive difficulty as the tournament goes on. Players can only protect, ban and pick maps in the respective mappool of the round they are playing.
4. Mods:
- Allowed mods are:
+ Vision mods: HD, FI, FL, MR
+ Mods that change fail conditions: NF, SD, PF
- Failed scores will be counted. However, if a player is found to troll by continuously failing even without SD/PF, measures will be taken against the player.
C. QUALIFIERS PROCEDURES
1. Players will sign up in a lobby out of several lobbies with varying schedules. After that, they will attend their respective Qualifiers lobby at the written time it starts.
2. The Qualifiers mappool is fully custom mapped, to avoid biases from knowing/mindblocking maps beforehand.
3. The mappool is to be played according to the order of the stages' number.
4. Players may skip playing any beatmap on their second run. An optional break will be offered between the first and second round of Qualifiers.
5. Players should not broadcast or share their results publicly to avoid seed manipulation.
6. The seeding method used for Qualifiers will be weighted rank sum, where each team's map rank will be multiplied by a pre-made weight and then added together to create that team's final "rank", which is then sorted from lowest to highest, with the lowest being seed 1. Refer to the formula below:
[Map Rank] = [Map Leaderboard Rank] * [Map Weight]
- Map Leaderboard Rank is the relative rank of a player in a map compared to all other players.
- Map Weight is the weight for a map, which is described below:
+ Stage 1: 0.18
+ Stage 2: 0.28
+ Stage 3: 0.3
+ Stage 4: 0.24
The final "rank" is defined as the sum of every Map Rank.
7. The top 16 seeded players will advance to the Round of 16.
D. MATCH PROCEDURES
1. After both players and the referee are present, the referee will ask the players to roll using the "!roll" command.
2. The player with the higher roll outcome will be allowed to choose whether to ban or protect first. If they ban first, they have to protect and pick second. The procedures order is as follow: Protect --> Ban --> Pick.
* Notes about protecting and banning:
- In Bracket rounds, players are able to protect a map of their choosing. The protected map cannot be banned.
- The tiebreaker can't be picked, can't be banned, and can't be protected.
3. The player who protects first will pick the first map and start the match from there. After that, players alternate their turn to pick maps until one player gets enough points to win the match.
- In case of a tie, the map will be replayed. This can happen again until the tie is broken; but in the near-impossible event this has been going on for too long, other factors will be used at the discretion of an administrative member.
- Each player has 2 minutes to choose their pick. If they exceed that limit, a random map will be chosen.
4. If both players are one point away from winning, there will be a short break before the tiebreaker is played, determining the winner.
1. As stated above, the flag on your osu! profile must be the flag of a South East Asian country.
