I can say with confidence that beatmania is the most finger-intensive rhythm game I have seen so far.
Stepmania (with Keyboard files) is way more physically draining than beatmania. (I play both games, I'm 10-dan at beatmania)MetalGearSnake wrote:

beatmania is more about reading dense patterns and have a super precise timing.
reading 4K patterns is trivial but executing them is a pain.
