Simple go to options, disable full screen mode. Or just press Alt + Enter (doesn't work inside multiplayer rooms).

If you're not using OpenGL, most likely its a bug on your end that I can't replicate.
  • Try these steps (remember to close osu! first):
  1. Open your user configuration (osu!.<windows user name>.cfg) using notepad
  2. Find the line that contains Fullscreen and change the value to Windowed.
  3. Save the configuration file.
  4. Open osu!.
That should work.
WidthFullscreen = 1280
HeightFullscreen = 800
Offset = 0
Height = 600
EditorTip = 3
MenuTip = 15
Fullscreen = Windowed
OnlineDefault = 1

Fullscreen must be off, Letter boxing should be off and resolution set to anything but "borderless"

I am getting the same problem. When I try to change the it to Fullscreen = Windowed, it launches osu in borderless fullscreen mode and when I open the cfg file it had changed it back to 0.

Worth noting that I am using the latest version of cutting edge.

I'm trying to get it to be windowed in my native resolution (1080p), or is that not possible?

No, that's not possible. a window can't be the same size or bigger than your native resolution. Pick a smaller once. Also, make a new thread for your issues. Don't bump old ones for fucks sake
