Do you have a backlog?

... why?
EnigmaticG
Yes. A lot of my games are huge time sinks when I get started, and I want to be able to invest large chunks of time at once in order to learn the game when I'm ready. The advantage of this is I don't need many games to keep myself busy for a long time.

No, I have never ever bought a game that I have not played, it has not happened where I buy a videogame and then it sits there in the library
Karmine
Yeah, I don't play all that much and tend to often replay the same games instead of new ones.

mainly ones ive gotten for free or like with god eater 2/danganronpa games its cos im still doing the 1st ones so i ofc havent played sequels
B0ii
yes, yes I do, but they are only free games so I'm really not losing out on much

Yeah but I wouldn't consider them a backlog because I don't own them.

More like games I want to play.

I have CS2 but my PC is too weak to run it.

I imagine you played CSGO?
A huge chunk of the playerbase got cut off after the release of CS2 I think, because the requirements skyrocketed.
I play the game regularly, but I have frequent lag spikes and have my quality quite low.

It's not necessarily about playing, but completing the game (specifically if it does have some sort of end goal).

osu! is too much of a timesink because I play and map for 3 modes at once, so I probably won't finish my massive backlog in this lifetime.
Achievement hunting & completing games is a side thing I do but nowadays I only do shorter games because of osu!, though I do have a To Beat and To Complete list on Steam--just games that I want to continue playing but not 100% and games that I'm already far in enough to know I wanna work towards 100%ing.

To Beat:
- Spelunky 2
- Pseudoregalia
- Divinity 2: Original Sin
- Crash 4: It's About Time
- Yakuza Kiwami to Yakuza 4 Remastered
- Elden Ring
- DOOM 2016
- Borderlands 2
- Fallout 4
- Jump King
- Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove
- Rabi-Ribi
- Voidigo
- Megaman Legacy Collection
- Forager
- Stardew Valley
- Electronic Super Joy

To Complete:
- Yakuza 0
- Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece
- Touhou Hero of Ice Fairy
- Touhou Mystia's Izakaya
- Persona 5 Strikers
- Persona 5 Tactica
- Picayune Dreams
- Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor
- Balatro
- Spark the Electric Jester 3
- Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
- Dead Estate
- One Finger Death Punch 2
- Crab Champions
- Metal Gear Rising: Revengance
- The Messenger
- Blasphemous
- Exit the Gungeon (maybe Enter too, someday)
- Neon White
- Inscryption
- Hades
- One Step from Eden
- Freedom Planet 2
- Quaver...?

I played rift when it came out and was part of server first raids on faeblight and will tell you with 100% certainty that there is no reason whatsoever to play rift in the year of our lord 2024
