Ok so I had this dream last night about an independent movie and video game(???) company(that seemed to be located in either the Midwest, the Pacific Northwest, or Canada) that had existed since 1996, I don’t exactly remember their name, the three words the name was made up of started with W(World Wide Wins maybe?), and their logo was a screaming cat on a white/gray gradient background. The company’s founder died in 2006 in a motorcycle accident.
The logo seemed to be really popular and many people were scared of it, probably because of the premise and also that there were lion roars mixed in with the cat screams. I think one of the lion roars was from the MGM logo.
The only movie I saw from them was called The Legend of P____ D____(1999). Yeah, I don’t remember the exact name. It was a movie with some animated sequences that look like they were done in some ms paint-looking app that was about a guy trying to get cool. In the end, some dog girl was declared the chosen one and P____ D____ became super uncool and turned into a decoration.
They also partnered up with a company called Dove Films(started in 2005), and another company who i forgot the name of but their logos looked kind of similar, to remaster all of their films and put them on YouTube. There was also special edition DVDs you could get that had stuff like subtitles, commentary, and trailers for some of their newer films. All of their movies and games looked very low-budget.
It seemed that in 2014, the company’s output became slower, but they still made films. I think the last one I bothered to look at on their YouTube page was made in 2019. I think they were slowed down pretty good by Covid. Nevertheless, with the founder dead, they still managed to make a bunch of weird and low budget movies.
