As it is, my watching and devotion to Japanese anime has been quite a sum in my life, to quote previous sentences.
I think I'm a pretty huge geek for all this culture thing, not to mention my near obsession with technology due to my (and our) upbringing.
It's ..difficult to accurately quantify really how much one can really go with this -ism.
Personally, I think if not for my having not enough money at times I'd have probably just thrown a good bunch of my money on merchandise, figurine or otherwise. (This hobby can be pretty expensive, think my biggest expenditure was $400++ for my PS3 and $300 for a single figurine)
But as long as there is a growing fascination that needs to be satiated, and my own creative goals to fulfill (I plan to do art for a living, whoa) then I suppose this will keep going on.
You may have realized, but this isn't limited to just "Anime". Though maybe strictly on a cultural level ?
All in all, this aspect of my life is something that I've nurtured, and grown to understand.
After all, manga and anime have been immensely widespread and popular for ages as a means of conveying (Intentioned) literature for people to pick up.
The basis for all this is of course, real-life.
Hence the potential for not only being relevant, but educational. (Forget the nonsensical stuff)
Anyway, I've written a bunch of stuff. But you probably already know all of it.
In the end, if it is part of my being, I guess I will revel in it.
How much? I won't really know.
* As a side note, I don't openly do anything to show or flaunt my tendencies/hobby. Then again, everyone is probably an Otaku or geek for something in their own way, and on some level.
