  1. 5USC3 is a 3v3 osu!std tournament with a rank range of #10,000 to #99,999.
  2. BWS will be applied: BWS Rank = rank^(0.99^(badges^2)).
  3. Players with a USA or USA territory profile flag (American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands) will be allowed to participate. Others currently residing in the US may message the hosts for approval.
  4. No staff may participate in the tournament other than streamers and commentators.
  5. Teams will be formed from various states and seeded into a Round of 32 double elimination bracket (with bracket reset) by sum of placements.
  6. Unless otherwise stated, all maps are played with ScoreV2 and NoFail.
  7. Match schedules and mappools will be released on the Monday before matches are played, and all times will be in UTC. Reschedules should be settled 24 hours before match time.
  8. All players must join the Discord. If you have any questions about the tournament, feel free to ask there!

Team Rules
  1. Players first sign up individually with their state of residence. If a player resides in multiple states, they may choose their state at the time of registration only. If a player resides outside of the country, but still has a USA flag, the player is considered a resident of the state they last lived in. Others currently residing in the US may message the hosts for permission to play.
  2. Players may not switch states from a previous iteration of 5USC without sufficient justification to hosts.
  3. Please sign up with the state you feel most affiliated with; players perceived to be abusing the state selection system may be blacklisted from playing in future iterations.
  4. Each team consists of 4 to 6 players. Organizers for each state will be selected by hosts before registrations close, and they will be sent a list of eligible players from which they may create a team. It is the organizer’s responsibility to submit a team (though they do not need to be on the team themselves).
  5. California will be split into North California and South California, with the city of Fresno, California as the border between the two. These two are treated as separate states for this tournament. Anyone living in Fresno may sign up for either team at the time of registration only.
  6. States in close geographic proximity that do not have enough players to form a team may be allowed to combine (e.g. Carolina, Virginia, or Kanssouri) at the discretion of the hosts.
  7. States with 3 registrations may choose to play as a team of 3. All other states with 3 or fewer registered players will be combined into a single team referred to as Stateless.
    1. Edit (5/24): Regardless of final registration numbers, Kanssouri (but no other states) will be allowed to merge, and all states with 2 or fewer signups (ND, AK, AR, ME, MS, NH, NM, RI, SD, VT) will be merged with Stateless.
Match Rules
  1. The referee will invite the team captains of both teams before the match start time. Teams have a 10 minute grace period to have at least 3 players available to play; if they do not have enough players, the other team receives a win by default unless a reschedule is agreed upon within a timely manner.
  2. Warmups (max length 3:00) are permitted only if both teams agree.
  3. At the start of the match, both captains will roll. The roll winner will decide either the pick or ban order, and the other team will decide the other.
  4. There are no restrictions on double picks or double bans for any modpools.
  5. For freemod picks, the mods HD, HR, and EZ are allowed. At least one player must pick HR or HDHR, and at least one player must pick HD and/or EZ. Players may also use mods on tiebreaker maps, but it is not required. Each freemod / tiebreaker map may also have a custom EZ multiplier; if not, the multiplier is 1.8x by default.
  6. Teams will have 90 seconds for picks and bans and are allowed one 2-minute timeout.
  7. In the case of a disconnection, common sense will be applied: if proof exists of the disconnected player's score, it will be added to their team's total score; if it is at all ambiguous, the other team will get the point. If the disconnection occurred within the first few seconds, the map will be replayed.

  1. Pools will prioritize variety and fun over strict slot pooling. This means that pool format may vary slightly from week to week (e.g. an EZDT pick instead of a DT one).
  2. Difficulty scaling may depend on scores in previous rounds but will roughly be balanced at 6.2* qualifiers and a 5.7*-6.8* bracket stage. A reference sample mappool is available in the #pool-feedback-feedback channel of the Discord.
  3. Unlike last iteration, not all bracket pools will be full-sized. Please keep an eye out for announcements in the Discord about each round’s details.
  4. The pooling team welcomes constructive feedback. In extraordinary circumstances, maps may be swapped out of the pool up until Thursday 7 UTC before matches occur (e.g. for content usage or severe quality reasons).

  1. States with at least 10 (resp. 14) signups may also submit a B (resp. C) team to the hosts. These teams, along with any teams that do not make the top 32 in the main tournament, will be placed into a minor league.
  2. The minor league will play the same pools as the major league but will have smaller prizes, not be badged, and may operate under experimental rules (e.g. different competition format, match rules, etc.) under the host’s discretion.
  3. Streamers will typically prioritize major league over minor league matches.

  1. Individual Registration: until May 26 at 23:59 UTC
  2. Team roster lock: June 2 at 23:59 UTC
  3. Screening buffer / Qualifier pool showcase: June 10
  4. Final lobby for qualifiers: June 17 at 7 UTC
  5. Bracket stage: June 22 - July 28
Schedule may shift slightly based on speed / format of screening.
