- This is a 4v4, team size 4-10 tournament
- This tournament uses standard BWS: global_rank ^ (0.9937 ^ (badge_count ^ 2))
- There will be a double elimination bracket
- Matches will be played with the ScoreV2 and No Fail modification enabled
- At the start of the tournament, every player must play the Qualifiers to be eligible for the auction
- After the Qualifiers are concluded, the team captains will be decided by staff
- Team seeding will be decided via average Qualifier placement
(Players who refuse to be team captains cannot take part in DACH Open and will be disqualified)
For the 5k division, the RO16 stage will be replaced by a 2 week group stage:
- The Group Stage will consist of 4 groups with 4 teams per group
- The match format will be BO10. Matches ending in a 5:5 score line are considered a tie
- The teams will be ranked in their respective groups via group points
- Each win counts as 2 group points and each tie counts as 1 group point
- After all matches have been played, the top 2 seeds per group will advance to the Quarterfinals winner bracket and the lowest 2 seeds will advance to the Quarterfinals loser bracket
In case teams tie within their respective groups, the teams will be ranked by the following criteria in the following order:
1. Map point difference (Picks won - Picks lost)
2. Points won in total (Picks won in total)
3. Buchholz*
4. Average Team BWS
*The Buchholz value is the sum of a team's opponents' scores, with the best and worst scores discarded

Note that the SF, F and GF pools of the 5k Division will overlap with the RO16, QF and SF pools of the openrank division. Therefore the openrank division schedule will be shifted to overlap with those stages.
- Hostility or disrespectful/insulting behavior that does not do justice to the competitive sporting environment will be consistently sanctioned by tournament staff
- The match lobbies are created by an assigned referee 10 minutes before the start of the match
- The referee invites the respective team captains 5 minutes before the start of the match. The team captains have to invite their teammates. If a captain is not present, the referee must be informed
- If a team has not appeared 5 minutes after the scheduled match time, the opposing team wins by default
- As soon as both teams are in the lobby both teams roll. The winner chooses the choice of pick order >or< ban order. If said team chooses the pick order, the other team chooses the ban order and vice versa
- Before the ban phase, there will be a protect phase
- There will be 1 protect per team in each stage. A protect can be placed on a map by a team in the protect phase and
protects it from being banned in the ban phase.
- The team that picks first must also be the first to protect a map
- Ban order is ABAB
- Double picks are allowed
- Double bans are allowed
- Warmups are not allowed
- A 120 second timer is set between the picks and bans
- If a team is unable to protect, ban or pick a map in the given time, the opposing team gets to Protect/Ban/Pick a map instead
- Every team can take a 2 min timeout once per match. Extending this timeout must be done in accordance with the
opposing team
Freemod rules:
- These mods can be picked: HD, HR, FL, EZ.
- Each team must pick a total of 4 mods.
- Teams must have at least 1x only HD and 1x only HR
- EZ = HD (Multipliers on EZ are individually adjusted for each Freemod pick on every stage. Those will be visible on the mappool tab)
- EZHD ≠ HD, but counts as 2 mods (Multipliers on EZHD are individually adjusted for each Freemod pick on every stage. Those will be visible on the mappool tab)
- HDHR ≠ HR, but counts as 2 mods
- FL will always count as 1 mod, no matter with what other mods you pair it with. FL will have a multiplier of x1.5. The EZ multipliers do stack with the FL multipliers.
Example of a possible scenario:
EZ multiplier is x1.75
FL multiplier is x1.5
- The score a player sets with EZFL will get a total multiplier of 1.5x1.75
- On top of that, if a player picks FL or any combination including FL, the team can chose to let that count either as HD or HR
