again, surrounding the general anime community on itself, there is a certain part of the community that is very centered on like "oh woke localizers are ruining anime or whatever" and I just think that it's total bullshit, same thing applies with "oh we must gatekeep anime from all of this tourists"

A lot of times I see terms like "oh this is tortureporn/cryporn" or like there is way too much gore on soemthing and whatever, and I just think it's fine for these works to exist, and it's not a negative trait on itself that the stories are built to be this extreme or to "bait" certain reactions from the public
if someone really likes gore, let them have an anime that is pure gore, it may not be needed, but as long as the demographic exist, we should just let people enjoy this type of stuff

Animes like lain have been distorted thanks to the internet, and it has created a fandom that just really overvalues and overstates these kinds of anime
