Here R-17+ means Gore, Topics of Violence, Sexual Assault, Murder, Suicide or any thing related to these. The reason why I am asking such a sensitive question is because I created this thread in which I want to talk about this.

The ideas which I am getting for that thread are on the disturbing side including violence, Gore, etc. I am afraid that talking about these topics in OT will get me restricted/banned temporarily. To wrap up, I am scared that's why I am asking this question.

If the results are NO then I'll happily stick to more mild topics.

Lastly I would do this on Day 3 (if it's acceptable). On Day 2 I have something else on my mind.

Do you believe voting on the matter will be the deciding factor of whether it's acceptable?

It won't. But atleast it'll give me an idea on the view of it. I know that I really should just not do this.

Yes. It won't be a deciding factor at all. I am just a user curious about what people think.

My take is that the majority of the votes would obviously be NO.

I am sorry(?) if people feel infuriated, angry, or anything that I am discussing about this.

i'd figure if you're just talking about something that happened in a respectful/journalistic manner it wouldn't be a problem. just don't post outright gore/pornography/things that explicitly are against the rules. if you're worried about people who wouldn't like such things being mentioned, you can just box it with a warning

I will put the [spoiler] tag to certain words which deem explicit. :D
i.e. if I do actually make one.

it would be more efficient (and easier to read since you wouldn't have to highlight stuff) if you [box] the whole text though

spoiler:
i voted no

reason:
there's underage people (13-17) that play osu, and who may potentially view forums after finding out that they exist
who upon viewing the off-topic forum and its subforums, finds that there's nsfl/nsfw content being publicly posted on a forum for a game that includes an adolescent audience

thank you for reading and have a nice day

as much as i would like that i also dont want to be responsible for kids that end up like me

R-17+ means Miku isn't allowed to read it so i won't too

No.
osu! is supposed to be all-ages or PG-13 at worst.

The conclusion is already noticeable. The poll will still run though.

I am dropping that idea.

I think that's against the osu-wide rule

yeah, and there really isn't an explicit tag for forum posts
ClevelandsMyBro
probably not since its affiliated with the osu website, well osu in general probably. but then again osu is the farthest thing away from family friendly.
Patatitta
I think it should be PG13 however it seems moderators disagree on that and want to make it lower

Hmmmm...

I'd probably recommend talking about it in the general discussion instead.

Because OT should NOT go into any real serious issues or things.

That'll very likely just turn into something really uncomfortable...

And if there's especially something real bad that just pops out of your mind to type it all out...

Or if you especially feel really unhappy and sour and mad with how the thread turns out.

Then you have very likely completely derailed the thread, that can also include your own aswell if you're not careful.

And Derailed threads really are my OT's biggest nightmare, because it can basically go into something completely and entirely different and completely shifts away all the fun and sort of just makes it feel like an empty landscape

From 0 to over 9000 wtf is this thread moment. ;_;

But at least with general it shouldn't be that much of a problem, especially if the titke matches with what you're saying...

Otherwise the best thing to talk about it is just using DMs to talk with users that you can trust with.

Or to just contact a GMT if you don't feel like you have any friends that can support you.

Man that was an exhaustingly long explanation... ._.

No thanks. At least if you wanted to, you can always find another person that would like to be shared privately.

While I don't know how much actual osu players are in the pre-teen age of demographic, It will only makes a bad impression to them and new players. That itself is already against the osu rule in general anyway.
Indomi-chan
no, it should be all ages, plus they're not even allowed in the first place
