How can I fix approach circles not showing in older (2014~2015) skin?

So I managed to find the skin I once used many years ago through the description of a youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgrs5zUshkY&ab_channel=Andrus and I wanted to try it out again. Unfortunately, the current stable version of osu! does not show the hitcircles. I have attached an image below to show this:

I am quite a noob at skinning but here's what I've tried so far without success:
  1. Replacing each default-x.png with their 2x variants - which only caused the hitcircle numbers to be twice as large.
  2. Comparing the skin.ini file to other current working skins and not really noticing anything.
I think the issue might lie in the psd folder because I've noticed that the other skins that do have it seem to behave differently now compared to before (eg: rustbell 2018 skin).

Could I please have some help with this?
Thanks in advance.

Delete hitcircleoverlay and rename hitcircleoverlay-0 to hitcircleoverlay. Also make a blank sliderendcircle

You can also fix the followpoints by multiplying each asset 3 times and renaming accordingly

Edit:
Fixed them for you

Thanks for your help Redo. On top of your changes I decided to replace the hitcircleoverlay with those of this skin: https://osuskins.net/skin/PwYI6Zn since I thought the old ones didn't look very smooth.

Am I allowed to post an osk of the new skin? I've acknowledged that the new skin is an edit in the skin.ini file as a comment and I've credited you for your help there too.

You can post it in the Remixed Skins subforum without any issues
