We are reviving this event again!
The osu! Philippines Holiday Friendlies 2023 (oPHF2023) is a semi-restricted, semi-open tournament series for all game modes hosted by the osu! PH Community.
This tournament aims to test and adapt to the new competitive environment where the players will have the experience of modern competitive gaming.
And yes, we are using osu! lazer.

Make sure to read this carefully, considering that this is a new type of tournament.
- Players who currently have the Philippine Flag on their profile or players who do not have the Philippine Flag on their profiles but can present a proof of their Philippine Citizenship to the staff are the only ones allowed to join the tournament, regardless of rank on the game mode they are participating in. There is no requirement for the player to understand the Filipino Language as a whole in order to be permitted.
- Staff Members who are not part of the Executive Committee and the Mappool Selectors are permitted to join the tourney.
- THE TOURNAMENT STAFF HAS THE RIGHT TO REVOKE A PLAYER'S REGISTRATION IF THERE IS ENOUGH EVIDENCE AGAINST THEM.
- Players are required to join the osu! PH @ Discord server, so they can't miss the further announcements.
- Players can join more than 1 game mode, as long as they can handle the schedule provided.
- Players should follow the schedule provided by the staff. Rescheduling is strictly not allowed.
- All Modes will have a Qualifier Phase, in which each mode will have its own playlist in lazer, players should complete the maps provided, each map will have 2 attempts to achieve the highest score.
- All Modes will be using a Brawl format, a format that’s been used in osu! PH Quickfire Showdown 2.0, where 16 players are qualified, then will face each other 1v1v1v1. Seedings will be based on the qualifier results.
- Scoring system: Will be using osu! lazer scoring system
- The bracket is the same as osu! PH Quickfire Showdown 2.0, as illustrated below.

- 1st Round: 4.5* - 5.7*
- 2nd Round: 4.9* - 6.0*

Note: Mania Star Rating is not optimal, Difficulty will be scaled from Dan courses. For the purposes of skillset-based pooling, all Dans assume both Shoegazer/DDMythical Regular and _underjoy LN scales.

In each round, there will be 2 sets of mappools, a total of 6 different sets of mappools. A pool will be pick based on votes. Once done, the mappool set will be played. A tiebreaker will only be played if there are tied scores. The pool structure will be the same as qualifiers.
