General 3, Less breaks than Overdose? | Priti

for the breaks , it’s ok if its 1 or 3 ,but at least the pattern are should be jumpy like the overdose.
Seph: its one main issue, it has less breaks than Overdose. As I mentioned on my post on the map thread, it doesn’t make it less than an Overdose, a jumpy Rain with more notes (meaning more jumps) and no breaks can be simply put as an Overdose as well.

I personally like the zig zag much, and I'm sure many people also

I did a mod in Yue's Rain, object density is lower than overdose now, not a big gap between the combos, but remember a RAIN diff is an Insane I guess, and an Overdose is an Extra, also in standard mode the difference between that 2 lvls of difficult, the density don't have a big variation, so I hope we can agree with this, since removing more objects will just kill the rhythm, and osu! is supposed to be a rhythm game. Also take in consideration how easy is the Rain compared to Overdose

there is a log with the mod I did in Yue diff (is in spanish if some one need a translation, I can do it)

I don't like being repetitive. It may be true that a Rain is the equivalent of an Insane in standard, but having a jumpy map (vs Overdose with overly long jumps, lesser notes, hence making it harder and explains why its the Extra ctb diff) with only 1 break tires out players (I asked some and that's what they said, tried it myself and personally it was fun but I got tired in the near end) and that makes it no different from an Overdose since it requires much stamina.

Though as I told [Yue], the Rain was better (personal opinion) than Overdose as it has better flow, at least for me, and we took quite some time and effort to look at the map since we find it good and [Yue] was pretty much cooperative.

Best of luck on reranking(requalifying?!) this, and advance grats to [Yue].

yeah, since I don't know about placement and shapes in ctb, all I did was improve rhythms, and reduce the density in a stream parts following the vocals instead.

---------------------------Well here, i guess Jenny's modding ends up here and the almost-everything below: sorry but every point from vipto is like meh, this guy should learn more a bit before coming to provide something. If anyone disagrees with this, please at least take a look at what he said above and below and you'll get what i'm talking about.

I agree with Priti with Mania diff names. Std, Taiko and CTB have their respective diff names so... why not mania too?

I was talking with Kuo Kyoka about this some days ago, and he told me ¨mania¨ doesn't have a mandatory diff names and he prefer to keep it like Hard
since I don't a see a problem with them, also is what the GD mapper want, if he is fine with it, is ok for me, also if Rumia and Kuo want to change them is ok too

we have a little free naming rules. but as long as it shows difficulties. so we don't have them standardise yet. so the current name is fine.
