I once tried to play osu with the December 2021 client. And tried to replicate everything how it was. Like my first ever Skin I used, or like the first Maps I played. My old Mouse and Keyboard, my old Playstyle… And I do not forget to mention, my old Username. At that time in December '21, I had “that virus” and it was tough. With all that quarantine and so on. Fun Fact: I had to stay Home for a whole 3 weeks cuz others from my family got positive and had to stay

. So, as always, I played some old Maps and got Goosebumps while playing. The more I played, the more tears I got. Then, the tears went into crying. I wasn't crying like mad. I was crying of happiness, how I spent those Quarantine Days with osu. osu changed my life and how this impacted my life. So I had to stop playing. to stop to embarrass myself into crying. And marked this osu client as a ”Nostalgia Warning”

Typically, I don't cry while playing osu!.

I don't know how you get this feeling from the 2021 client, but I understand the feeling of nostalgia.

An (unrelated) tangent about nostalgia

There are certain places, certain memories and pictures, that make me want to cry. I remember this time from my childhood, I was either 3 or 4 years old. It was my family in a hotel outdoor pool, and my dad chases me from under the water, before jumping above the water and picking me up, raising me with his hands. The sun was just setting, and the whole memory just seemed golden. Everyone was young and happy. I wish I could be there in that time again.

I've never really cried from nostalgia playing a game, but if I get access to a few old minecraft worlds (lost to time), I might cry.

most nostalgia I get when playing a game is probably super mario galaxy 2 and pokemon omega ruby, picked up my ds recently and booted the later, with my old savefile still intact, man that was weird, I had the trainers of all my fiends on my secret base I still remembered the location for

Last year, I was able to fix a 3DS XL I got in Christmas of 2012/2013 (Don't know which year exactly). Even though I lost my old save card, and I didn't really have a lot of games on there. I still felt a huge amount of nostalgia playing it for the first like in like seven years.
