Registrations
- All players must register at 5wc.stagec.xyz
- This tournament features a harsh BWS (Badge Weighting System). The formula is bwsRank = rank^0.98978^badges^2. More information is available in the Rules Document.
- There is no rank buffer. Players must be exactly between #10,000-99,999 global rank (after BWS) by the end of registrations.
- After registrations are closed, the rank restriction will be lifted.
- Staff members are prohibited from participating with the exception of Streamers, Commentators, and Graphic Designers.
- Players, team captains, and country organizers must remain in the Discord until their team has been eliminated.
- Players who have not registered during the registration phase will not be allowed to participate in the tournament.
- Players are registered to the country assigned to their osu! profile flag by default. View the Rules Document for more information about playing for other countries.
- There is not a "countryless" team. There are specific countries that may opt to merge with a larger country should their country not have 6 registrants. Please view the Rules Document for details.
- Each country will have exactly one designated organizer, appointed by administration.
- Country organizers are the only individuals allowed to submit a roster for a country. This is a private process.
- Teams must be submitted by the team submission deadline, no exceptions.
- Country organizers that knowingly submit a roster in bad faith (e.g. with a known cheater, banned player, multi-accounter, etc.) will face severe consequences. This type of behavior will result in disqualification of the entire country. All individuals involved will be reported and blacklisted from future 5WC's.
- Qualifiers will be played in Head to Head, ScoreV2, with NF enforced.
- Each country will have a distinct, private qualifiers lobby.
- 4 players must be present to play the qualifiers round. If at any point the team does not have 4 players available to play the qualifiers round, the lobby will conclude and must be rescheduled.
- Teams have 120 seconds between maps to ready up.
- Qualifiers will be played in order from NM1 to FM1.
- In order, there will be 4xNM, 2xHD, 2xHR, 2xDT, and 1xFM for a total of 11 maps.
- Qualifiers will be played through exactly once per team.
- Please see the Rules Document for disconnect rules and other information.
- Teams will have a designated referee for every match. This referee will notify both teams 15 minutes before the match is scheduled to begin.
- Lateness is defined as not having four players simultaneously present in the lobby when the match is scheduled to begin.
- Teams who are 5 minutes late will forfeit their protection, ban(s), and first pick.
- Teams who are 10 minutes late will receive a loss by default.
- All matches will be played in TeamVS with ScoreV2 and NF enforced.
- Split or asynchronous lobbies are prohibited.
- The !roll winner will protect second, ban first, and pick first.
- Protections (AKA protects) allow teams to prevent a map from being banned.
- Each team can choose a map to protect during the protect phase.
- A protected map cannot be banned by any team.
- A protected map can be picked by either team at any point.
- Ro32 & Ro16 feature 1 ban.
- All other rounds will have 2 bans.
- Bans are ABBA.
- Double banning is allowed, but an entire mod pool cannot be banned. This means that if there are two maps in a mod pool, and one of them is banned, the remaining map cannot be banned - thus it is inherently protected.
- Double picking is allowed.
- Picks alternate between teams after the first pick.
- Teams will have 120 seconds between all decisions (protecting, banning, picking, and ready-up).
- Teams have one (1) 120-second timeout that can be used at any point and for any reason during the match.
- Timeouts that have been invoked after the current decision timer has finished will not count, appropriate delay of game punishments will apply in these circumstances.
- Please see the Rules Document for further information on delay of game punishments.
- 4 mods minimum.
- Teams may overmod.
- 1 HD and 1 HR are required (or the appropriate substitute).
- EZ or EZHD can subsitute HD.
- EZHD counts as 1 mod towards the team total.
- HDHR counts as 2 mods towards the total, but does not count as HD or HR.
- This means that each team MUST have a standalone HR and a standalone HD/EZ/EZHD.
- Please see the Rules Document for further information on freemod rules including example combinations.
- EZ - 1.75x
- HR - 1.04x*
- FL - 1.40x
- EZFL - 2.15x
* Note: HDHR is worth 1.0x and is not affected by this multiplier.
- Violations of rules from our Discord server will impact your standing in the tournament. The rules here extend to cover our Discord server which is viewed as an official communications platform, as is osu!Bancho, and will be treated as such.
- Players and Staff are expected to uphold the osu! community rules at all times.
- Administration reserves the right to punish — as they see fit on a case-by-case basis — toxicity, obscene language, slurs, and other derogatory language or behavior displayed in any match chat, community, or social media platform, including but not limited to osu!, Twitch, Discord, Twitter, and private messages therein.
- Multiaccounting, cheating, and other foul play is not allowed. Rosters submitted in bad faith (for example, if an obvious cheater is on the team) will result in immediate disqualification of the team with a report made to the osu! Tournament Committee.
- Should a player be restricted for foul play while the tournament is ongoing, administration reserves the right to disqualify teams entirely and replay the bracket history in a fashion appropriate based on the stage of the tournament.
- Custom skin elements must not be used such that they alter core gameplay elements or mechanics in unintended ways.
- If a map is to be replayed for any reason (aborted by referee, etc.) the roster must remain the same. If the match was aborted due to a player experiencing a technical or personal issue so severe that they are unable to play osu!, the team may swap that player out for another player on the roster.
- If a player disconnects from the match, their score will count as zero (0) unless adequate proof of a “last known score” is provided.
- Players are expected to keep the match running smoothly without delay. Harassment of staff members, toxicity towards other teams, and/or other language in chat or smoke that violates the community rules will result in immediate disqualification, pertinent to the judgement of administration.
- Instructions from referees and administration must be followed.
- Referees may be lenient or strict with the timers at their discretion, pertinent to the rules laid out in the Timers & Timeouts section.
- Administration reserves the right to alter these rules at any point. Any changes are guaranteed to be announced through an official channel in the Discord Server at the time of change.
- Administration may request a liveplay or recordings of individual players or teams at any moment without warning.
