2013 accomplishments!

Hello!!!

SO! It's been a LONG LONG while since I've been around. I've been doing this and that but I havn't forgotten about you! Yes! Yes you!... ...no not you silly! The one behind you! Oh, no no wait, don't turn back ;w;!, yes you too! *cuddles*

*ahem*

So yeah, I'm alive and stuff and the last time I was around I tried to be active again, but that didn't last for long (my name is black again, yay!) However, I didn't get to talk to most of you the last time I was around. So, since I don't have most of my osu! friend list on Facebook (and since I don't plan on adding everyone ;) ) I'd like to know how are you people doing!

'Bout me, I've been quite busy this year. Things I have been doing include:
- Kundalini Yoga Teacher's Training
- Practicing Streetdance regulary (House Style)
- University (is a b*tch, but I love my career)
- Being an assistant student to one of my teachers at uni.
- Reiki lvl 2 'n stuff
- Reading LOT'S OF THINGS
- Dealing with family stuff
- Pole dancing you wish >w>
- ...and other sexy things.

I'm quite sure I forgot some things, but I basically deal with these things daily most days, making my schedule quite busy for anything that includes video games or... ...well, free time. My social life has also been bursting lately so that leaves little space for sleep too, haha! But don't worry! I'm made of steel... ...no, I'm not a beatmappin' robot.

So! Anything you wanna know? I'd like to know about you, I don't even know who is active anymore. Is ouran still around? BD? Garven? I'm quite sure Garven is still lurking around somewhere isn't he? Lantu? Rin? Rukario? Haneii? Andrea? Heck I don't even know if anyone has changed their usernames.

Everyone is welcome to tell me what accomplishments they had during this year! Real life acomplishments! osu! ones are cool but I wanna know what's happening to the person behind the computer screen >w<

I'd ask about Derek and Gonz but I see those derpfaces everyday on facebook :v (also ilu derek)

Ah... This year is the worst year in my life so far.
I paid an expensive price (metaphor, not literally in terms of dollars) to know a bit better about myself.
I had a plan for my future, but I got it all screwed in this year, and now I'm lost, don't know what to do next.
Life is hard, amigos.
Hopefully it won't be any worse than this year, but right, "mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

2013 was definitely a year of change.

  1. Finished my undergrad. Graduated in the top 15% of my class as Magna Cum Laude. Got the undergrad career achievement award from my department. Still didn't get into grad school, but the programs I was looking into simply insisted that I get more real-world experience.
  2. Moved to a bigger city. Still working on getting a better job that isn't working in a coffee house, but you deal with what you can.
  3. Got engaged to my boyfriend of four years. Wedding date is still TBD, but we're working that out~
  4. Began work on a LARGE album project. Basically compiling all of the things I worked on in my undergrad and new ideas I've had lying around, working with those, and forming one concept album out of it. Sure, it's not due until mid-2014 at the earliest now, but I'm working diligently on it in my spare time!

i changed the way i think, totally
stopped caring about things, i don't know if this is good
passed one hard subject after 3 years
kicked most of my friends out of my life and welcomed some old ones whom i mostly ignored for years and years
started reading more VNs and made a blog about it with that old friend
improved myself
got my map ranked (first blood)
became a chat mod
had the best bday ever (also the first bday without a bday cake)

and other shit things i can't remember

UnderminE: Well, it's ok not caing about things in the sense that you don't make them stress you, but you should not avoid reality. Uhm, it's kinda like the Zen or the Taoist approach to the world, maybe you could look those up? I have some great books but they're in spanish, hehe ^_^

I've been stuck in the army mostly, but not playing osu! means less cramped fingers, less frustration and more free time to do something actually productive.

I've accomplished my goal of accomplishing nothing at all.

I could list all the things I've managed to fuck up, though. They're also a sort of accomplishment.

First off I managed to compromise myself ever graduating from highschool, have attended enough classes but can't pass any exams

Second, managed to start seeing a shrink and got some nice pills to stop me from feeling anything. Then I decided to stop taking them and ended up passed out on the street from which I was escorted home by the police. It's a long story.

Third and last, I managed to spend 500€ on train tickets this autumn.

I haven't accomplished anything really. I did manage to get to the second year at school, but just barely (got 45/60 points, and you fail when you have 44 or less). So now I have to retake a lot of tests this year (already failed the first one and have to retake it for the 4th time(last chance)), and am fucking up my internship which is going on until the end of January. It's only a matter of time before I drop out. To make things worse, this is my second study I'm doing too (I quit my previous one after 5 months).
I just can't do this, because I find it no fun at all (not even a little bit). I did mechanical engineering before this, and am doing industrial engineering now.

I don't even know anymore. I guess I'll be more happy once it all has ended (in 2 weeks ~ 2 months), until then I will feel like shit.
Yes I know it's better to just stop now already if I'm failing anyway, but I have agreed to 'give it a try' anyway.

TL;DR: I managed to waste 3 years of time and money.

this year was so-so for me, lost some, won some. but these are probably my accomplishments for this year:

  1. got into my university of choice (currently 1st year second semester Psychology student)
  2. found me some good irl friends (explains why im not that active in the game :P)
  3. probably found a special someone? heuehuehe
  4. got back some of my old friends
  5. <osu! related> I had the first approved CtB map so yay for me.

Weeeeell.

I moved 150km away from everyone I know. One of my better decisions, plus living on my own suits me just fiiine!
Graduated high school with the 4th best grades of my year - Started university 4 months later.
I met some very wonderful people both in real life and on the internet.
Some less-fortunate events taught me more about myself as well as other people. I believe I became a better person because of it. (If nothing bad ever happens, you never appreciate the good parts of life!)

  1. ive gotten toxic people/friends out of my life and have opened myself up to more oppertunity and chance, managing to go out and experience new things
  2. i learned a lot from the people who i've lost and i miss them dearly but i won't live in the past and i've improved myself for the better
  3. im getting my pet bird named pepper today and i think that is a GOOD accomplishment i've always wanted one
  4. ive met the sweeeeetest girl ever who i'm glad i can call mine
  5. i've been getting better grades
  6. i started writing my novel

I JUST HAD SEveral good grades, not a single one below 10/20 actually, I feel relieved.
Moreover, I finally managed to control my addiction to MMORPGs (either that, or I just got bored, 'dont even know), and I'm now using my spare time to play osu! meet friends etc.
(yeah that's pretty much all, boring life is boring)

3 Big things happened this year, 1 isn't so much of an accomplishment as it is just a part of life.

1. I turned 18, entered the world of being considered an adult. (Don't EVER wish to grow up, its not as good as you think it will be.)
2. I graduated from High School. (and got a nice scholarship)
3. (not achieved yet) After next week, if things go well, I will have officially conquered my first semester of college.

I have managed to control more or less my anger, made many new friends, and even once had a gf. In osu! I managed to be the first ever French player to reach 6,000pp (all modes counted) -- and top 15 (topping to #11 in August).
I finally had the chance to talk to one of the people I admire for his works in ITG tournaments (thanks a lot Lizzy ;^;).
I also reached a significant milestone in rhythm gaming, I am able to play streams in StepMania up to 280-300 bpm (passed Vertex Gamma once) and 250 consistently, and exploded my PBs in Ratchet&Clank series.
I participated in charities, too !
... And I have been praised for my taiko modding by OnosakiHito himself. That's what I consider my biggest accomplishment.

i guess my only accomplishments were graduating from school with decent grades and getting rid of medications.

also i probably improved as a human being. i dunno.

i also had a lot of shit happen :D

I think I acutally managed to accomplish something this year:

I once again have the person that I've loved for a really long time. Yeah it prolly sounds lame but it's really important to me.

I think the most noticeable things I did this year are:

- told my parents I'm transgender (and I really shouldn't have)
- haven't failed school yet
- started taking antidepressants
- bought a cosplay fox tail
- came back to drawing, albeit kinda sparingly

This year was horrible in too many ways despite that.

- Really pushed myself in climbing and still am doing so
- Climbed outdoors for the first time
- Survived the year

osu! related:

- Stopped playing as much which gave me time to focus on other things
- Couple cool ranks here and there

My osu highlight of 2013:

- Managed to stick to what I love to play (Touhou maps) and that helped me stay
- Translated osu!Rank and have my feedbacks positively received by the dev
- Have people told me that my osu story has inspired them and brought them back to the game
- Made lots of friends in mp. Love you all :)

I found a new position to play in that I think it actually going to help me finally improve. That is to say, after 3000+ plays, im still as bad as i was at like 1000. [not from lack of trying, mind you] it was infuriating beyond belief, even though i spent every one of my plays on stuff i struggle on [hence the rank]

I spent the past 4-5 years with mouse at neck level basically which more or less means I had to keep my left shoulder/arm tensed at all times to keep my hand on the mouse and even then my mouse movements were always restricted. It's made it so hard to do ANYTHING. I remember seeing people flare their cursors [bouncing on slow notes, spinning their cursors in slow sliders] and I thought "how?" because for me, those types of movements took immense effort.

Getting a real desk and moving it down to slightly above navel height lets me actually take a relaxed position and move my mouse more freely.. suffice to say my spinner speed went up by like 50 rpms instantly, and I don't feel any sort of physical tension while playing which, amplified by the stress of trying to get better, just created misery. Now I can actually MOVE my mouse freely. It feels like a new game. Feels like I can start progressing again. No longer is it a struggle just to get my cursor across the screen, im addicted to just throwing my cursor everywhere in loops and bounces just because I can now without being restricted..

Still gotta get used to it but it feels so nice now.

i still cant read for shit, but that can be fixed in time. there's time now. i feel like the last man on earth who just walked into a library.

Who knows, maybe my next 3000 plays will actually count for something now. *crosses fingers*

I guess it's more of a milestone, but I worked my first retail job as a sales associate at a toy store for seasonal employment. I'm happy it's something I finally got the chance to experience. Other than that 2013 wasn't that special for me.

osu-related: Got the chance to befriend so many new people since I started playing again in February and now have 2 ranked beatmaps :)

-traveled to Egypt in March by myself(first solo flight. took 4 or 5 different planes to get there >_>)

- Had my ancient map go for approval, and it did. Also, that Madoka map.
- Worked on a number of experimental storyboards, some un-released and mostly unfinished. Plenty of progress made.
- Clocked close to 400 km in route marches since enlistment.

  1. Stabilized my current relationship.
  2. Moved to Germany and found a stable job here.
  3. Learnt the language quite quick, I'd say (BUT I STILL NEED TO LEARN MORE!).
  4. 1st in getting a CtB mapset ranked.
  5. Joined the CtB BAT.
  6. Joined the Tournament Management.
  7. Many other things I probably forgot about...
I guess it was a pretty productive year :)

Year of mixed feelings and experiences.

-Lost my part time job, rather unjustly in my eyes.
-Stressed a lot. As in, a seriously unhealthy amount. I've lost way too much weight, fearing that I've got serious stress issues.
-Passed some tough subjects which I initially thought I'd struggle with.
-Got my driving license.
-Spent quality time with family but not much with friends.

Might as well thank my parents for the decent computer and the five-month long vacation I had because of travel from PH to Canada. (Started vacation on April and ended on start of September)

-Reached 4k pp on taiko mode
-Learned how to do jumps on standard
-Went from 100k+ ranking to 21k-ish rank on standard
-Watched and completed about 150 anime
-Improved my writing skills and now able to write an anime review and a one-page back-to-back essay
-Reached 1k post? lel
-Got to Silver V in League
-Got to grow my hair long \:D/
-Able to retain the forever no supporter
-I can pass level 97 now in DrumMania. Auto-bass though. Manual bass still depends on song (can finish Die Zauberflote (85) on Manual but not Toccata (83))
-Improved my stamina
-Now able to pass streamy DDR charts and got to pass Saber Wing Challenge 17 and Xythar's level18 Edit Data of Saber Wing.
-Now able to do Double/Triple Performance on Pump It Up.
-Can do okay drawings and not just horrible stick figures.
edit: Got to meet new friends in the anime club in our school and played snowball fight with them despite me being that shy in real life

This is quite many holy crap. I didn't know I did that much until I listed it.
