I have been thinking about this for awhile now but I currently use index and middle finger for my right hand and middle and ring finger for my left hand while playing mania. My question is am I limiting myself on my left hand? or is this totally preference and just use what you are comfortable with? what fingers do you guys use when you play? Just wanted some insight on this.

If you don't have a problem with your current style and it's comfortable for you, I say go for it. It's mainly just a finger preference. You could also experiment with different keybinds if you wanna.
I mainly use the standard index and middle finger for 4k, as it's the most common finger set up for players.
