these dK, are not unrankable?

It's at the end of it.
At the end, finish streams may be allowed if there is a reasonable sound for it.
There is a reasonable sound for it.
Finisher notes at the end of a stream ---> must have the opposite color of the four previous notes.
It is the opposite colour of the of the previous note. Should I spam 3 more dons behind them so it'll be rankable? Turn off the effect sound and listen to the song. It's not even that quiet. I've been working on this set for a year now and no matter what kind of mod I got nobody could provide me a better solution for that than the already existing dK.
I know is not impossible xD (and so easy for a ddkk player like me) but well, i'm not the only who hates this rule, i have maps with kkddK and things like that and I needed to remove :/ (specially my map of get jinxed and the kdddkdddK stream at the end)Kurokami wrote:
Oh come on, we are speaking about 120 bpm. Nothing is impossible on this level.
I miss the previous rule :cTasha wrote:
There is no specific on what is a 'stream' and what isn't a stream in the rule amendment. I could very well call multiple doublets a stream of doublets as an example. Despite all of that, the rule does not affect this usage as it uses the finisher as the last note in the pattern, and is using an opposite colour to the previous note.
If anyone wants to argue this point, come talk to me in game. If a QAT wants to argue this, I'm going to dispute the rule change. This type of pattern should not be considered unrankable and if it is going to be, it is hindering mapper creativity for no valid reason.

So the rule just needs to be changed if it's faulty. The rules should be there so we don't map in an unplayable and unfitting style. However, oX is just as playable as ooooX and sometimes, like in this case, can be fitting as well. It's not like I have heaps of duplets with oX patterns on each other, then I could understand why you would complain.OnosakiHito wrote:
It's no problem to discuss about "xO on lower BPMs" cases. But you are not allowed to ignore the official rules until changes has been made.
I do, I just pointed out why the rule is faulty and that modding is pretty lazily done sometimes. If I didn't understand I'd had questioned your pop, which I did not.OnosakiHito wrote:
You seem not to understand.
I have a problem with this, but as you said Tasha will probably start a discussion about this, which would be nice to follow and comment on.OnosakiHito wrote:
No matter what you say right now, it stays unranked because of the current rule. If you have a problem with this, you have to contact the Admins aka peppy / Loctav. I'm sure Tasha will plan to open a discussion about this rule, which is okay. But this may take some time. If you need some suggestions about this patterns, I might be able to help. Just contact me in game again if you can't wait for the -probably- incoming discussion.
Just don't do it here. After all, this is not the place to discuss about general rules.
Easy there, verto. I think you rather forgot what I said about it and have now unjustified accusations against me._verto_ wrote:
I mentioned bonfire few weeks ago and even here, but you kind of fell silent about that one. I respect the mappers and the map is superb indeed, I just felt that it's kind of a double-standard that people are so adamant on enforcing the rule on my map, but if it's a well-known and respected mapper it's okay to ignore a rule or two.
I'm not pointing fingers, I'm just writing what I feel and I could be wrong as well. You are just threatening me here instead of talking about the matter objectively. I don't care about other maps, BUT I will mention it if I feel it unjust. "Why is it that that map accepted while mine is not with the same pattern?" Sorry if I jumped into conclusions and offended you, I didn't mean to.OnosakiHito wrote:

If I put out my logs now, this will not look good for one of us. Beside that, pointing with the finger at someone else is nothing I can favor at this point (bonfire).
What I read through your words right now is that you want to get this ranked in its current state without any changes. The fact that you asked another BAT after my said word is already a bit fishy if you ask me. And as I said before, I will assist you if you need possible examples beside the oX pattern. Yet, you talk about quality.
I'm open for a talk. Not sure about you.
No, I got the inspiration from this https://osu.ppy.sh/s/43728 00:57:361 (1) - where basically the same thing happens in the music, except on 120BPM and no WHAUW but a loud drum bang.Nwolf wrote:

The main problem was that one kanji was a bit off, which is ridiculous because even the Japanese sites give different description for the song it seems. The BNs shouldn't have their BN score deduced for stuff like this, this is just non-sense. How are we supposed to give correct metadata in Japanese when even the Japanese themselves cannot use their language correctly?Kurokami wrote:
I don't understand why using romaji as source is an issue. I'm not willing to accept this, I can't force players to learn japanese after all.
Anyway, I would like to rebub this but I doubt in the metadata now so going to check once more for first.
That's reassuring, I'll ask the BNs to requalify the map.OnosakiHito wrote:
And speaking about the BN score, it isn't right what you say. While an unrank is -if I'm not wrong- counted, the IS must not(which is more important here). Especially in cases like meta-data issues, since these can be for several reasons wrong but do not effect the mapping itself. So you can be sure that BNs won't have a problem here.
move "Genshiken Nidaime" to Tags.meaning it shouldn't stay in the source (leszámítva a holdrúnákat)
