I got some ideas for people who want a easier way to calibrate.

Why not make users play a calibrate testing map that osu! himself calibrate for you. Is easy and must efficient than this old calibrate option. Found in Arcaea and Quaver wich you have only the needs to click when is the beat. After click on all beats, the game will calibrate for you easily. You can do with any setup like Bluetooth/Wireless headset or wired headset if needed. I saw the tutorial beatmap could be the best calibration option where could be implemented.

It's would be cool to use the Osu! Standard gamemode for the calibration test if the mouse is responsive or being late at click.

This could be handy for peripherals too. Just click on the beat to calibrate.

The most, case i would recommend to build learning AI to make the calibration has the more precise than possible. It's could help some people where the calibration is not perfect has they wanted.

First, i would PPY made a better calibration method with some unique and smart method than just the metronome. Because it's didn't follow what's users needs to calibrate, where i am the one think i need some betters tools. :(

Quaver is a open source rythm game similar to Osu!Mania where you can create, share and play beatmaps driven by the community and made by the community. All contents like skins and plugins was sync with Steam and all others inside their repo site.

For a demo of a calibration system from another game (Quaver):

Hi, this is also "found in" osu!. This is the exact function of the "offset wizard" found in the osu! settings. This guide shows how to use it correctly: wiki/en/Guides/How_to_Use_the_Offset_Wizard

ok but i think itd be way easier if we could just tap a key (similar to timing a map in the editor) and it determine for us

similar to arcaea

I mean that's less accurate and more timing consuming because of human error etc, but go off ig

oh yeah you do have a point,,,,, but like arcaea and stuff has that same kinda system so i figured why not

i think i misunderstood the og post too bc what i thought of was the "tap to a short audio" type thing arcaea has instead of like,,, mouse calibration

I'd rather say that it's more correct since it also takes into account human feedback from keypressing, but oh well go off ig.

There soo many way to calibrate a rhythm game, the most hardest and problematic thing is the perfect latency and timing. For me at my experience is hard to tell about how the calibration can handle my gameplay. I have to manage anyways the offset of the map because they just not sync the hit points with the beat and is just annoying sometimes. I would the OSU staff could be strict about how the beat and the hit needs to be sync together and not from independently.

And again, this calibration method could be handy in most cases, but not totally. If i take Otaku awnser, human error could not accurate the shot. And is true, maps and calibrations is not fitting together and just worse when is not sync. There the reason your hits is not accurate at all.)
