Current (excerpt from https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/fi/Ranking_Criteria#metadata):

Guest difficulty creators, storyboarders, skinners and hitsounders must be added to the tags of a beatmap. Guest difficulty creators must be set as difficulty owners for their respective difficulties in addition to being added to tags. This is to give credit where credit is due and help others identify the main contributors of any given beatmap. Usernames in tags containing single characters separated by spaces must have the spaces replaced with underscores.

With the recent change to guest participation attribution I think it is important to make sure that this rule is as clear as possible. Currently, it may seem that setting difficulty owners is not part of the main rule, but rather secondary to adding them to tags.

Proposal:
Guest difficulty creators must be set as difficulty owners for their respective difficulties. In addition, guest difficulty creators, storyboarders, skinners and hitsounders must be added to the tags of a beatmap. This is to give credit where credit is due and help others identify the main contributors of any given beatmap. Usernames in tags containing single characters separated by spaces must have the spaces replaced with underscores.

With this wording, setting difficulty owners properly takes top priority, and setting tags comes second. However, because both sentences are bolded they pop out to the reader and hopefully make it clear that both are essential.

Unsure if this is the best way of wording this. It might work out simply by bolding both the sentences in the original.

could maybe separate it to its own line? it works good enough with your current proposal anyway

i'm not really sure how to handle this since collab difficulties aren't supported in the guest attribution system yet. given guest attribution can be changed after a map is ranked, it might be better to leave it out of the rc for now? if mistakes get through, they can be adjusted afterwards (as is happening with a bunch of currently ranked maps already)

as far as i've seen, people are also pretty diligent about properly attributing guest mappers before maps are ranked anyway, so that might be extra reason why it's not necessary yet lol
