Hi, I've been getting into skinning lately but all the programs I use aren't good enough. Does anyone have a (preferably free) program that is powerful, but not messy and hard to use?

I'd say paint.net

If you're a very beginner at creating texture, you may want to use Inkscape. Its free and why I did recommend this is because for me its easier to re-edit the object that I've made. And I like the effects in there. Its quite helpful.

But a lot of skinner use Photoshop/Gimp/Paint.net tho. Pick the one that make you comfort.
