I never really went on image boards until after the gamergame stuff. That was when 4chan died and it only has got progressively more pozzed since then, now it's mainstream and not counter culture and has normalfag global rules like 'no racism' and 'no lolicon'. fullchan has gotten worse, especially since Jim took over from Hotwheels, but at least in generally upholds the rule of free speech with no global rules except that which is illegal.
