I can imagine why it's bad but let's leave that there.
What I thought of, yes I know it may not work either and probably sounds ridiculous, is some kind of review system. Like any player can go and post a little review about the map (actually the difficulty) and people can upvote/downvote it. Something like you get in MAL, but I'm sure this would have about 5000 flaws + will fail. You could simplify it by giving it some basic scores, what I mean:

Just replace those fields with things like jump, stream, rhythm, storyboard?, etc. Make it 1-5 instead of 1-10, and give users the possibility to add a little commentary to each field. It sounds dumb and would require a lot of work but then again it miiight work, and personally I would actually read the top voted reviews to see if I'm going to play something interesting. Since this would require going to the website you kind of avoid many butthurt votes/I love the song votes. I don't know just dropping the idea, this has lots of flaws because map judging is subjective and while you may think some map is full of fun jumps they might be boring to me because of any reason you can think of.
