When in game, song selection screen, you can look at Group By, and select the option: Rank
Beatmaps/difficulties will order themselves regarding the rank you have accomplished on each.
1st...2d... and so on.
Basically this way you are able to know in which maps you are first, and the maps you may want to improve your score.
What about different difficulties for a single beatmap?
This doesn't matter, just show the difficulty with lowest rank later, with the other difficulties that have the same rank.
The only "problem" with this, is that you will find a "normal" difficulty, mixed with other difficulties and with the same rank.
But i don't see that as a problem really.
