I recently installed osu! lazer on my pc and found the new song that's used for the game's theme. Honestly hearing it on boot makes me want to launch the client again after trying it to hear the song again. I think the stable client should include an option to set it as the theme you hear on boot. Currently, my best option to use this song in the main client is to put the mp3 in a skin as welcome.mp3 and turn off the music volume until I'm ready to play a song. Ideally, I would be able to skin this as main-theme.(mp3/wav/ogg), but I feel including the song as an alternative option for the main theme (like lazer does currently) would be nice too. 😛

Stable is currently feature locked, meaning only minor tweaks and bug fixes will be added, so i really don't think there's much hope for this being added sadly

hmmm, I think that changing the background track is not that difficult thing
but the initial visuals are closely coupled with the song and can be hard to backport
