Hello Osu Community, I am a fairly new player to Osu and Ive ran into something while playing quite often.
I usually like to stop at a safe spot during a song if I need to go to the bathroom or my skin itches, whatever the reason, these reasons don't happen very often, im more often then not pausing to replay from the start (if i get a miss or a 50 etc), But whenever I stop with no intention of restarting the song, I ALWAYS by pure habit press the replay button, which makes me have to restart, which is especially annoying on longer songs. So I ask the developer/s to add a notification that will come up when you press replay that asks "Are you sure?" to ensure that people who accidentally press it don't have to go through what they already did well.

Now I do understand that people like the immediate replay option and I wouldn't want to ruin that, So make the "Are you sure?" Feature Optional, so that the people who want it, can enable it, and those who don't, can keep it disabled.
(hopefully I havnt broken any rules doing this, I didnt read the ToS yet XD
Thanks
Natsu

I think there was some request asking like a 1 second pause or something before being able to click something.

You could just pause then unpause, leaving yourself on the "click to resume" screen maybe? I don't really want to add unnecessary steps like this to button clicking.

Ya this has happened to me many times, especially for tablet users because your hand naturally rests in the middle of the screen which just happens to be in the position of the restart button. Whenever I pause I always have to make sure I make a deliberate action to move my pen away from the center.

Why not just hit escape a second time?

don't forget, some people also hate the fact that restarting is a two-button process. Making it a three-button process would make them 50% angrier (assuming linear 1:1 button-to-anger distribution)

Because pressing escape another time during a break will not give the circle to click.
Like I said, very annoying for tablets especially. The best time to pause is in a break, not during gameplay. It'll mess up your rhythm and your flow.

So just imagine; you're playing a song, you finish a spinner (doesn't even matter if it was a spinner since many players center their cursor in the middle naturally), and the break appears. Breaks can be very short, sometimes a few seconds so you want to PAUSE.

Then you accidentally hit the restart button. Happens many many times.

This is the money advice folks...hit ENTER to resume.

This sums my opinion up. It would take nearly twice as long to restart every time you wanted to restart. Tablet players already have an advantage, if you don't like it, deal with it and use a mouse or be careful. I vote for being careful.

I guess if it were an option I wouldn't care.
