How to make the taiko drum asymmetrical

I have a skin idea, but I think that taiko-drum-inner and taiko-drum-outer are supposed to be flipped on the other side- aka always beign symmetrical.
Having them not be asymmetrical would kinda ruin my skin, so I am looking for help on this problem.

You could try using transparent or semi-transparent taiko-drum-inner and taiko-drum-outer images, and then making both sides different by making the taiko-bar-left image asymmetrical.

Whether this could work or not depends on what you want to do precisely.

you can make them overlap like in this skin, but they changed how taiko works soooooo, you can do it with limitations
