No, a DT map is a map that's possible to FC DT. Whether you can or can't do it doesn't invalidate the fact that it's possible. If you disagree with this then Atama isn't even a map at all (because nobody FC'd it yet).Zarerion wrote:
A DT Map is a map that has a considerable amount of DT scores that are not by the second or third best player ever.

nope, because nobody has yet shown that it's possible to stream 360bpm or jump at that speed. However nomod maps already exist at 270bpm and people can play them, so 180bpm or slower maps without spaced/long streams qualify for DT.haha5957 wrote:
what a logic. now atama is a good DT map cuz it is possible to DT FC it if we get someone who is hundred times better than cookiezi.
You said every Map that can be DT'ed should be easy for an average player nomod.Aqo wrote:

two different things

Poinsettia is a cool DT map in that case. I am sure that every average player should be able to FC it no problem.
edit: more explanation below
Except I never said every and gave a few specific map examples.Zarerion wrote:

Which is NOT the case for stuff like Poinsettia.

so it kind of shows thwe truth but not exactly?buny wrote:
using ranks to determine an average is like saying pp system is a way to measure skill
maybe shows the truth for very high ranks, but any range considered to be average other than in the very high ranks range isn't a good way of estimatingsilmarilen wrote:

Skills that an average osu!standard player is expected to have in 2012:
- Be able to get accuracy above 90% on OD7 on anything that is not a stream map
- Be able to stream up to at least 180bpm for quite a while (at least 20 notes)
- Be able to read up to at least AR9 comfortably
- Be able to aim at CS4 up to at least SV 1.8 per bpm up to 200 with up to at least 1.0 DS on object spacing
Skills for somewhat higher standard average osu!standard player:
- Be able to get accuracy above 95% on OD7 on anything including stream maps (even if it takes retries)
- Be able to stream up to at least 200bpm for quite a while (at least 50 notes)
- Be able to read up to at least AR10 comfortably
- Be able to aim at CS4 up to at least SV 2.5 per bpm up to 240 with up to at least 1.4 DS on object spacing, as well as CS5 on lower speeds than 180bpm
