[Archived] My osu! keeps refreshing my entire map folder

Problem details:
I'm launching osu!, playing the game nothing wrong happening, but as soon as I add a mp3 or a map, it refresh my entire map folder (35k beatmaps) it's so annoying, I tried to remove osu.db, I tried to reinstall osu!, nothing works
Is there a problem on my songs folder ?

Please see this GitHub issue for the issue you are having when importing beatmaps. It might help to post there as I'm not really sure if it is clear how many people are importing maps by dragging them into their songs folder.

What you should be doing when importing beatmaps (at least for the time being) is saving the file to some other location on your computer (not directly in your Songs folder) and dragging the file into the osu! window or double clicking on it. This should prevent your maps from reprocessing each time you import.

The devs should also be aware of the mp3 importing issue and that should be looked into sometime soon. I'm not sure if there is a workaround for that. community/forums/topics/1058051
