Someone actually has already implemented a performance point counter in lazer, but it was never merged into the official code base. From the looks of it, most of the ground work should already be done, the branch just hasn't been updated for a while. If you don't want to do all of the work again, you might be able to ask Poyo what the status is on the PR.
