i would love (familial? queerplatonic? hard to describe accurately) a replica of me, but i would not love myself, specifically because i'm the arbitrator of this self while that replica is separate from me and happens to be a copy of me with their own otherwise-identical conscience, differentiated simply by our independent thoughts from there onward
it's easier to love the person that i happen to be when this isn't me. i would take care of my replica, my replica may take care of me. i often imagine a collective of replicas in this fashion
