i forgot if i posted what i drafted earlier in that thread where you suspected people didn't like you... in case i didn't, one of the subjects included in my hypotheses had been that people (myself included) seemed to see you as somewhat immature as a result of your responses to others, similar to this scenario where you read as though you were deflecting blame for a mistake that you had a part in-- specifically, the articulation of these passive-aggressive responses to critique (and in other cases, you seemed to avoid making any serious response at all). miscommunication can be a challenging experience, understandably... but this rarely benefits anyone, yourself least of all :(
i appreciate that you try to find humor in things, just be aware of your motivations and feelings whenever you do choose to express it, or alternatively try to reference the interpretations people express of your comments in the future so that you're better informed about what you're communicating to each person. otherwise, it may not be humor, but veiled aggression or evasiveness for things you may not have wanted to acknowledge or address;;
in fairness, it seems like i'm rude/insensitive myself for some of the things i take issue with in people or the things they express... so, you wouldn't be alone in passive-aggressiveness;; but i take issue with my own behavior as well, and am very tightly controlling of what i express whenever possible because i have an extreme sense of anxiety toward the consequences of them for both myself and others. you or others may not see the text i type when i draft the responses i erase or heavily edit, but i fear i'm not incredibly different from other people in being reactive and sarcastic in some way
typically, i avoid those things with a passion whenever i realize they're there, and i greatly prefer a sweeter/kinder/compassionate/understanding tone in my writing... if not for others' benefit, then at least it does seem to benefit my own well-being :) i would recommend it, but just... try not to be performative about it if possible, and avoid weaponizing it at all costs. the entire premise is to absorb that and reform yourself as a person in order for it to be sincere, not to show it off :>

I don't mean 500mg of THC, I'm talking in blunts.
The blunt was "1 gram", whatever that means, I smoked half and my mate smoked the other half. So I'd assume I had 500mg of the whatever was in that blunt. Likely not just weed but some other additives to make it weigh more or some shit.
Basically just half a blunt made me high for a long time and I didn't enjoy the experience. Like, someone was using a jack-hammer on my face type pain, terrible taste in my mouth, time being extremely slow and a bunch of vomiting by the end.
I guess I do just say things without thinking. the main reasons being that I have this “passive-aggressive” behavior, is that I mostly feel ashamed or angry about myself if I just accept the criticism and was proven wrong and assume that I have to deal with things like being laughed at / made fun of or just being seen as a dumb person. it's frustrating and also demotivating. So for a first time thc user usually the recommended dose is 5-10mg of thc, if you smoked half a blunt you could have very well taken like 50mg of thc (assuming the average blunt has like 100mg of thc), if it was filed with bunk you might have taken less, but chances are you smoked way more more than 10mg if you felt like that.Ymir wrote:

Basically just half a blunt made me high for a long time and I didn't enjoy the experience. Like, someone was using a jack-hammer on my face type pain, terrible taste in my mouth, time being extremely slow and a bunch of vomiting by the end.

typically, i avoid those things with a passion whenever i realize they're there, and i greatly prefer a sweeter/kinder/compassionate/understanding tone in my writing... if not for others' benefit, then at least it does seem to benefit my own well-being :) i would recommend it, but just... try not to be performative about it if possible, and avoid weaponizing it at all costs. the entire premise is to absorb that and reform yourself as a person in order for it to be sincere, not to show it off :>
granted, people may believe you're being performative anyway, and maybe that could be true in a form that you hadn't recognized yet... in my own case, i imagine the tone i adopt can feel patronizing, so, ideally in my scenario i would listen to who is saying that and why that's their interpretation and take note of what elements of my comments would make that interpretation possible, then see what i could change if i couldn't convey what i meant or if what i said has come at others' expense regardless of whether i thought i was being sincere or kind. that may be something you could try for yourself? in any case, just be mindful of the responses you've been getting and balance their merits with the preservation of your own well-being as well as that of the people around you, and hopefully it will serve you well <3

mm,, i myself am sorry for adding onto this and publically pressuring you this way, it sounds like it was disproportionately serious for this thread when most people may prefer to move on and enjoy their tier lists. i want to clarify that my actions are not your fault and i chose to make them, knowing that this is sincerely what i think and believing that it might have value...
...but that value is dependent on the status of your future wellbeing as you remember this, because the intent is not make sure you feel bad or embarrass you or have you express the most remorse you possibly could, but to enable change. instead of words, change is the goal-- a bridge to growth, evidence of your effort. like words, change is not everything, and people will still freely think/feel what they think/feel... but the difference exists in how you recover and nurture your social relationships instead
it's not a sin to feel embarrassed, and in many cases you can learn from it without feeling like you must hate yourself or make yourself callous/cold/apathetic toward others. it is often incredibly useless and damaging for people to laugh at you and dismantle you as a vehicle of social shame, even if they didn't personally care or believe it should have been taken seriously. i am very very familiar with my own experiences with shame, and i currently live most of my life hiding from people and responsibility and consequence, or hiding from myself most of all. i have my own reasons to preserve my ego, but there are many approaches i avoid and that includes anything that comes at the expense of other people, if i can help it... or at least i would hope so
i don't know how much any of this would help, since it seems distressing for you to dwell on these things at all, and i can't predict whether my thoughts suit you well at all. these are my own perspectivess from the lens of who i've been or tried to be, which may be very different from where you want to be. i promise i don't think ill of you for being a little more willingly vulnerable, and in many ways it enables me to trust you more... but of course, be safe and selective if you can, and take care to watch your relationship with validation... i myself have people-pleasing habits that influence the ways i've spoken here, and that is not always suitable or healthy
