I've heard that EZ mod helps you with reading, I like to believe low ar does helps with improving reading, but should I use EZ mod, should I modify maps to have low AR and CS but no low OD, should I play old maps, or should I not care about low ar for now?

I personally don't think EZ helps with reading because reading AR7 and reading AR4 at anything over 3*s is so fundamentally different and difficult that it's basically it's own skill.

If you want to improve your reading ability, just play maps that are AR6 or AR7 No-mod. THere's plenty of high 2*/low 3* maps at AR6-7, and then basically 99% of the rest of 3* is AR7-8. That should do you just fine.

Agreed with Voidedosu. Putting maps on EZ vs Playing deliberately hard-to-read maps is similar yet the latter is still harder imo. Although this should not be the limiting factor because you can learn both at once

Both will takes time for anyone to get comfortable, so I'll be rooting for you

There's also the fact the latter maps are likely often designed around their lower AR (compared to the average in their SR) while putting EZ on takes maps meant for higher AR and is adding on artificial difficulty, essentially.

Speaking as an EZ mod simp, EZ can help you with low AR reading and some general reading but that’s about it.

They’re not gonna help you learn how to read say, flow aim or Deviouspanda-like maps or AR 10.3+. There are different kinds of reading that needs their own practice.
