Achro loves poetry... I never really understood poetry because they seemed to be quite boring (the ones taught at my school). But I think that poetries can be very fun to read.

I personally just can't stand reading without pictures. My mind has a hard time trying to imagine these scenarios in my head, with the details being blurry and everything being dark. A pictureless book really has to be so good that'd I'd actually finish reading it.

I'm learning some poetry texts right now for school, and the diversity in the poetry space is really amazing to me, as well as the amount of meaning you can get from everything. Some of the poems are really emotionally resonant with me as well...Rhythm32 wrote:

i think i just write in a way that happens to appear like poetry? or maybe it is poetry but i don't really know how it works and don't actively play with it that much beyond just wanting my words to look pretty when i arrange them together :p
although... i do wish i was more familiar with poetry as an art, as a craft, and as a practice. it feels like it might have its own range of cultures im not familiarized with, and playing with words is a little bit fun sometimes ^^
i don't really actively look for poetry though, so i can't really remember anything about it beyond rhyming and rhythm and inflection being useful tools, meanwhile knowing very little about poems themselves

it really feels like i have to alternate quickly between different clusters of objects/features/environments in order to kind of "interpolate" how the image looks in full, but i have so much trouble trying to Keep and image, and it all just fades so fast...
my imagination in general just feels so weak sometimes :c i wonder if this is what makes it super challenging to draw what i want to see
