Problem details: what happened is that I wanted to create my own osu skin, so I thought that if I go into the game files, go into the skins folder and create a new file, I could make a skin from the game files themselves. game, it took me a few days to make the skin and when I had finished it I wanted to share it with a friend, but when trying to convert the file to .osk from the game options, I had actually converted the last file that I converted to .osk, I mean, instead of the name of the skin that I wanted to convert, the name of the last file I converted appeared. After that, I tried to convert the skin to an .osk file from the files application, and it was already converted, but when I opened the file, the game opened and this appeared at the bottom left of the screen "Unable to import skin" then I tried to convert another skin that I had downloaded to .osk and yes I could do it, but with the skin that I had created from I couldn't do the game files, I know it's a lot of text but please help me ;-;

osu! version: Stable 20240513.1 (latest)

.osk are just fancy verions of zipped folders. If you look in your skin folder, youll probably see regular folders.

Have you tried just having a folder named something like <test skin> and then putting that in your osu! skins folder while osu! is closed, then opening it and seeing if the skin was there?

I hadn't thought about that, but it's still an error that should be solved, thanks :D

Try making a .zip file of your Skin Folder, renaming the .zip to .osk and then importing into osu!

Make sure that the root of the .zip is like this:

If it doesn't work, please upload it somewhere and paste the link as a reply to this thread so at least we can check what's going on

The method does not work, here is the link to the skin:

When trying to open the file an error appears at the bottom right, I don't know much about files either so I don't know if what I did is right

Make sure to zip the files inside the skin folder, not the skin folder itself.

Go to the skin.ini file and change Name: to whatever name you want the .osk to have. After that just export the skin through the in-game options

Also while you're at it change Version: latest to Version 2.7. Never use latest.
