The tournament format used in RFS is unconventional: Teams are divided into regions based on timezones, with only corresponding regions competing against each other. For example, if you're an EU player, you will only face off against other EU players in your match. The victor is determined by winning 2 out of 3 matches. I chose this format for the following reasons:
1. Many tournaments follow a repetitive format, and I wanted to introduce variety to break the monotony.
2. This approach resolves scheduling difficulties across different timezones for intercontinental matches.
3. Maps in the later stages have a higher likelihood of being played, increasing the chances of all maps being utilized throughout the competition.
General Information:
- Teams of 6 Players
- Rank range: 5,000 to 99,999 BWS (BWS Rank = Rank ^ 0.9937 ^ Badges^2)
- Matches played in TeamVS and ScoreV2
- Double Elimination bracket
- NoFail (NF) enforced on every map
- Match times and schedules will be written in UTC
Regions and Team Requirements:
Teams must include 2 members from specific regions:
- 🌎 North/South America: Timezones ranging from UTC -10 to UTC -1
- 🌍 Europe/Africa/Middle East: Timezones ranging from UTC +0 to UTC +5
- 🌏 Asia/Oceania: Timezones ranging from UTC +5:30 to UTC +12
Additional Notes:
Please make sure to adhere to the rank range and region requirements while forming your teams. Good luck and have fun!

- Qualifiers will be used to determine seeding for bracket stages.
- Head to Head, ScoreV2 with NF enforced.
- Each team will be separated into their individual regions (NA/SA, EU/AF, AS/OC).
- The mappool will consist of 10 maps.
- The qualifiers pool will be played once starting from NM1 and finishing with DT3.
- In order to keep lobbies running smoothly, a 90-second timer will be used between maps for players to ready up.
- Each duo will participate in separate qualifiers, and their individual rankings will be determined based on z-scores.
- The overall seedings will subsequently be calculated by aggregating the average of their respective individual z-scores.

Win Condition
Match Procedure
- The winner of each round will be decided based on the team that wins 2 out of 3 regional matches.
- The order of matches will be randomized initially in the Round of 32, and will rotate between rounds.
- If a team wins their first 2 regional matches, the 3rd regional match will not be played.
Match Procedure
- The referee will create a multiplayer room 5-10 minutes before the scheduled match time.
- Both players of each region must join the lobby during that period.
- If no ping is received, players should ping the referee on Discord and notify an Administrator if there are issues starting the match.
- If both players of a team don't show up to the lobby after 5 minutes, they forfeit their protection, 1st ban, and 1st pick.
- If both players of a team aren't in the lobby after 10 minutes, they forfeit the match entirely.
- After 10 minutes, if one team has 1 member and the other team has 0 members in the lobby, the team with 1 member wins by default.
- In the unlikely case that both teams have no players or only 1 player, the higher-seeded team wins by default.
- No warmups are allowed; teams should warm up before their match.
- Each region will protect one beatmap at the start, which can be picked by either team and cannot be banned.
- Each region will ban one beatmap in the Round of 32 and Round of 16, increasing to two bans from Quarterfinals onwards.
- These beatmaps cannot be picked by any team during the match.
- One player per team must use !roll once in the match's chat room to decide which team picks first.
- Teams may double-pick and double-ban, but an entire mod pool cannot be banned.
- From quarterfinals onwards, the first team bans one beatmap, followed by two bans from the second team, and one final ban from the first team.
- Regions have 2 minutes to pick a beatmap and 2 minutes to press the Ready button on their client.
- Players can leave and rejoin the lobby during the ready timer to practice the map as long as they are present when the timer ends.
- If a team takes more time than allotted for a pick timer, a random map will be chosen using !roll X, where X is the number of beatmaps remaining, excluding the tiebreaker.
- If a team takes more time than allotted for a ready timer, the referee will issue the !mp start 10 command, regardless of how many players from each team are present.
- Correcting a mispick after the pick timer has finished is prohibited; common sense will be applied to mispicks.
- When a Freemod (FM) map is selected, both players are required to use two different mod combinations.
- Players cannot choose the same mod combination as their teammate.
- Acceptable Mods include any combination of HD, HR, EZ, and FL.
- HR and HDHR is not a valid mod combination, as HDHR is considered the same as HR only.
- HDHR will have a 0.95x multiplier.
- EZ will have a 1.75x multiplier.
- FL will have a 1.50x multiplier.
- Players must include NF with their mod combination.
Because of the unconventional format and timing of matches, the scheduling rules for RFS are stricter than usual.
Default Match Time
The administration will assign a default match time for all matches.
By default, matches will be scheduled on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
It is expected that teams are available on these days throughout the tournament.
Rescheduling Matches
Due to the nature of this tournament, where all matches are strictly confined within similar time zones, the reschedule rules are stricter than usual.

Rescheduling Matches
Due to the nature of this tournament, where all matches are strictly confined within similar time zones, the reschedule rules are stricter than usual.
- Teams have the option to mutually agree to reschedule their original match.
- The 1st and 2nd matches can be swapped through a reschedule if mutually agreed upon.
- However, the 3rd match must be scheduled last and cannot be rescheduled before the 1st or 2nd matches.
- All reschedule requests must be submitted and finalized by the Thursday before matches at 23:59 UTC.
- Teams must post screenshots with the opposing captain as evidence that the reschedule request was mutual.
- Any reschedule request made after that point will be rejected.
- If a scheduling conflict arises between two regions and cannot be resolved by Thursday 23:59 UTC, the administration will intervene.
- To ensure sufficient time for all potential matches, it is mandatory that the 1st Round of Loser’s Bracket does not start after the specified times:
- Saturday at 16:00 UTC for Asia/Oceania Matches
- Sunday at 0:00 UTC for Europe/Africa Matches
- Sunday at 8:00 UTC for North/South America Matches - Reschedule requests for after these times will be rejected.
- The administration reserves the right to overwrite a default schedule for any reason at any time.
- The administration also reserves the right to approve or deny reschedule requests if necessary.
- If a region’s captain fails to respond to a reschedule request within a reasonable amount of time (approximately 24 hours), the administration will intervene.
- Teams have the right to deny reschedule requests. However, if it becomes clear that a team is unreasonably stubborn to the point of affecting the integrity of the matchup, the administration will intervene.
- Reschedules to weekday matches are allowed between Friday at 0 UTC and Monday at 23:59 UTC.
- Common sense will be applied if a team wants to reschedule outside of those hours.
- Matches cannot be rescheduled for later weekends; all matches must be played on the designated weekend mentioned below.
- The only exception is the Grand Finals/Bracket Reset.
- The 3rd Place Match (Loser’s Finals) is NOT an exception and must be played during the same weekend.
Forfeit Rules
- If a duo cannot attend or participate in a scheduled match, they must inform the administration promptly.
- If one duo forfeits, the remaining regional matches will still be played, and the team must win the remaining matches to reach 2 out of 3 wins for victory.
- The team with the forfeited match will have a disadvantage, needing to win all remaining regional matches to secure victory.
- A forfeit in a regional match will count as a win for the non-forfeiting team in that specific match.
- If both members of a team are not in the lobby after 10 minutes, they will forfeit the match.
- Technical issues preventing participation will be evaluated with common sense, but if the problem persists beyond a reasonable time, it will be treated as a forfeit.
- In the unlikely case that neither team has both members in the lobby after 10 minutes, the higher-seeded team will win by default.
- Teams may appeal a forfeit decision if there were extenuating circumstances, requiring the team captain to open a Ticket.
- Multiple forfeits may result in penalties or disqualification, as determined by the administration.
- The administration can modify or enforce additional forfeit rules to ensure fair play and tournament integrity.
