The Dreaming God begins the game with the names of a set number one-shot abilities (traditionally ten), but is not informed what those 1-shot abilities do. Each night (or day in Nightless games), the Dreaming God MUST use one of his or her 1-shot abilities, which will have an effect upon the setup (usually consisting of a change to the Game Rules). This effect can be positive, neutral, or negative, depending on the ability.

The Dreaming God has no inherent alignment, and can favor either the Town or the Mafia, depending on what effects the Dreaming God's 1-shot abilities have.

Unless you need to defend yourself from a lynch or have a way of defending yourself at night, I suggest against roll claiming this early into the game. It won't help us find mafia any better and it'll just give them enough information to be one step ahead of us.

One reason I said that was because I figured that the Dreaming God's random ability actually had a hidden effect on how votes are calculated. Possibly something like only taking two votes to hammer.
