[resolved] Disabling hitsound but only for osu!mania?

Problem details:
I can't figure out how to disable the hitsound but only for osu!mania mode.

On the settings I can turn down the effects volume all the way to 0 but this affects every other mode but I just want to remove the hit sounds while on osu!mania because it's a bit distracting. Is there a way to do this with some sort of setting or mod?

osu! version: Stable 20230326 (latest)

No there is no way to do this unfortunately. (realistically)



Another option that is just as bad (or worse) as just turning the effect volume off but is worth mentioning just incase: You could make a separate skin just for mania which has all mute hitsounds and everything else the same, switching skins when you play mania

Thanks for the information! I'll post at the feature requests forum about it then. I guess for now I'll just have to slide the effects volume up and down depending on what mode I want to play.
