Nerve control

I have always gotten nervous before important stuff mostly relating to competition likes sports and other events where I get an elevated hr. The same thing happens to me in osu whenever I'm about to set a really good score or close to fc my hr just fucking skyrockets and I can't seem to control it. It will go from normal to like Ed levels I've measured it and while playing has peaked as high as upper 160's bpm. So my question is how do you control nerves and high hr without just playing through it.

Play more and more runs that make you nervous and you'll slowly get used to it.
Try removing your HUD interface.
Stop caring for FCs and such. Just say "oh cool" whenever you get one. Basically don't get attached.

yeah happens to the best of us, i certainly suffer from this too. Best thing you can do is practice getting nervous if that makes sense while focusing on nothing else but playing

; grind long maps only, for like a week and you should start slowly getting less nervous cause you know that you can do these longer maps easily

In conclusion: You should play longer maps (or maps out of your comfort zone) and normally you'll get used to it if you do this if you do this in a long term.

Don't worry about your performance points, your accuracy or your combo. Just game for fun and everything will be okay :)
