it's probably an ip registration issue, you can shoot an email to support if it really bothers.

personally I'd say that chance to have a foreign flag flying on your profile is scarce, and very much the only one. if you request to change then there's usually no way to revert. so think carefully if you really wish to get rid of it

If you ever go pro you could fake your american identity and join american teams on tourneys

damn, my bad. thanks dpeace.

Up to date rule regarding flag

that clearifies things. sorry for not updating before reply.

so yeah, it's pretty much like you have to delete the whole account and create a new one in order to have the chance to make it right.

That's against the rules but if support doesn't do its job it's the only way I guess

I looked up again and here’s what I found

I was thinking that there might be a rule about creating new account or reviving the old one, but there isn’t. According to the rule, you delete the account, you are dead to osu. They’ll make sure you remain dead should you ever wish to comeback.

Well… I’d really have to triple check before I say anything regarding rules and regulations

Many people have more than one account though (old players who forgot they account name/pw) because they can't actually check who the owner is. There's just an automated system to detect new accounts that make scores a new player couldn't do afaik.

That doesn't justify the creation of more accounts. If flag changes ever come back to osu! then you should engage with it and change your flag. Just check your PP vs the country rankings and you can get a good idea of your ranking in the US. THere is no reason to make a new account or avoid support just for a flag issue. If you were using a VPN when making the account then that is honestly tough luck. If you live near the US-Mexico border and the ISP picked up the US, that is also tough luck.

Keep in mind that this game is more fun when you aren't restricted or have any instances where support is actively monitoring your account. Just keep the account and have fun, dont make another one, it isnt that serious.

See.. I am not going to delete my account but it was my mistake to create the account in the United States. Look, I was on Christmas vacation so as a gift they gave me a trip to the US and at that time I was playing osu! droid because I didn't have a laptop or pc to play on so that Christmas they gave me a laptop, and I was very happy so I proceeded to download osu quickly trusting that I could change my flag once I was in Mexico in 5 days later but it wasn't like that and now I will have to deal with this flag which I feel does not represent me at all

You'll be able to change your flag in the future once we implement an automated system to handle it. Making new accounts will get you restricted, so don't do that.

Oh we're getting the option back?

I'm just wondering how it will look like, since at the moment I'm not really waiting for it (since I don't really need to use it.)
Jarcrafted
Well you see if you rearrange the letters in "Mexico" you can spell "America" so that's why.

Yes, it was just an option in your account settings. I don't know when they removed it but people keep complaining about it being gone.
