I haven't played it as much on my Switch, but I do have a "remake" (if you could call it that) on my Switch.
DS version is one of the best remakes ever, except for the controls.
Playing it on a 3DS or 2DS would make it a whole lot better, and fix the aforementioned controls issue.eblf2013 wrote:

I feel bad for kids nowadays because they probably will never play or hear about this god tier game.

also, the different caps only work on different characters (for example metal cap for wario). Also the fire flower was added as a power up for yoshi. you can collect caps mid level to switch character during a star if you need to and there are also some additional courses such as goomboss battle and the luigi painting in big boo's haunt
overall I would recommend however the game is best enjoyed on a 3ds/2ds as the dpad is not great for controlling mario

The one I played was on arcadespot. Not sure if it's the Shindou version, though, because I can't perform a BLJ at all. Either that or it's a keyboard issue or skill issue.

It's difficult to start, though. I couldn't figure out which button to press on my keyboard to get past the main menu so I just spammed random ones until one started it lmao. Otherwise it runs smoothly on school chromebooks somehow lmao

I never played Super Mario 64 before. But I've always wanted to, looks like a fun game.
